Thoughts on Saint Laurent YSL Envelope Bag?

No it’s the medium size. I absolutely love it. It’s my favourite bag and I’m debating selling all my other flap type bags as this is so durable and fits all of those needs. I don’t reach for the other bags I have to be honest.
I bought my bag a few months ago, and have only taken it out 5 times or so, and I have noticed the wear on the pointy part is particularly bad.
A bit disappointing for a 2000+ dollar bag, but otherwise I still love it.
my friend also has the same problem but her bag is black so it doesn’t look as bad. In case you’re deciding between colors.

I posted this in another thread, but i thought i'd share it here too. This is my Saint Laurent Triquilt Envelope bag in size medium. It is black with gold hardware. I have had this on my wishlist for years, really happy i got it. I love the feel of the grained caviar type leather, such a great fuss free bag.
Love it! I have had my eye on this for ages. I wonder if it ever gets included in the yearly sales?
So to follow up on my previous posts, I ended up buying both the Black and Dark Smog Medium envelope bags. I could not stop thinking about the Dark Smog grey for months, and to be honest I love it more than the black. It is such a chameleon colour and can go from looking black/dark grey to blue grey or storm grey depending on the lighting. I love it!I visited the Saint Laurent store yesterday to look at the medium Envelope bags. I had such a difficult time trying to decide between Black & the Dark Smog grey colour. I bought the black but can’t stop thinking of the Dark Smog

Hi, I never open up my bag from the pointy part because i want to prevent rubbing or coating coming off. Having said that, is it possible to take it back to a YSL store to have it replaced or repaired? i think your bag is absolutely beautiful, what is the color called? The shade is gorgeous!

Thank you! The color is called Dark Beige. I love this color too. I got it from Farfetch, not sure if it’s available on the Saint Laurent website.
It hasn’t gotten worse since I started doing that, but I don’t really like worrying about/babying my bags.
I haven’t asked for a repair yet because it hasn’t gotten bad to the point where it bothers me, but I’m a bit worried since I didn’t buy it directly from a boutique.
Hi! None at all. I am careful though, and don't wear it with anything that could colour transfer, or damage the leather x

Thank you for this comparison Between the Envelope Small vs. WOC Small. I purchased my first bag and got the envelope in the nude powder, it is gorgeous. However, when I got it home and put things in it that I normally do in my mini crossbodies, they barely fit and the sleek design looked chunky and not attractive. I took it back and have ordered the small envelope in dark beige. They didn’t have it in the store, so I’m hoping it will guve me a little more room. From our pictures, I see it will be perfect! I think the black with gold is the most stunning, but I want to wear it with super light/summery clothes and dark colors. I think the Beige will be more flexible for my first one.
I have been reading about the issues with the pointy end. That is very disappointing, they should put a little piece of hardware to cover the end, wounds that have been a classy Touch!

Sorry I'm a little confused, I read it as you bought (small?) envelope in nude and it was too small so you've opted the small envelope in beige
I had the medium and found it quite compact inside due to the sides but I do like the look of the small because it's rectangular.
