As many fellow TPFers have said, the bubbles should be gone once it completely dries out. I had experienced the same with my Epsom wallet (water bottle leaked in the bag), it dried up like new.

I think I would feel so ill if that happened to me so I understand your feelings. Hopefully yours will be ok. Thinking positive thoughts. Hugs and please keep us posted.

I have to say sometimes putting it another bag (even 'raincoats') can backfire if they're not completely watertight. We can be too reassured, it only takes a couple of droplets on the leather. Water does most damage if it sits on the leather for a while. The first thing is to not beat yourself up about it. If the water damage persists, take it to H for an assessment.
