There is something about Cassie...

Thank you!
You know, I don't know why I started but have a tendency to jump into something like this & ask questions later. My first attempt was to a rip & repair line bag. Came with ginger accents which was ok, but I found that particular coloring limited when I carried. I did very little research...so more luck than brains for sure!
I've had a tendency to customize my bags, removing fringe or tassels, painting hardware, etc. I figure if Coach isn't making the bag I want & there is a low risk way for me to do my own, I will. I never do it on super pricey bags though. Always a bag I bought on sale or snagged online at a good price or, in this case, was going to rehome before I decided to change the color.
My desk job provides little opportunity to be creative so I gravitate to projects outside of work that allow me to see the end result, good or bad.
Hope that all makes sense!
I am just like you! I love to rip/cut things up!(bags)
Your dying job looks great!

With all the Originals launching I just wish they'd make the Cassie with leather or canvas interior instead of the fabric. I'd pay more to have a 1941/Originals version!
Yes I feel exactly the same. I'm not a fan of the interior lining material in general. I like the Cassie style, just wish they upgrade their lining to make it more premium. I don't mind paying premium price for it

I think the Cassie straps are too long, even when I adjusted to its shortest version ( I'm 5'3), Anyone else feels the same way? :annoyed:
I shorten all my bag straps. I like short shoulder length versus crossbody, so I do what was recommended above...I have a leather hole puncher to punch an extra hole further up to shorten the strap. The hole punchers do not cost all that much, or you can take it to a leather store. I also buy straps on the mautto website sometimes instead. That is what I have done with my Cassie bags instead of shortening the straps.
