There is something about Cassie...

They already have navy made
and sitting in a warehouse. It’s just not known if the North American buyers for Coach will put in an order for them. That’s what they told me the last time I was at my local boutique. Same thing with pollen.
Ahhhhhh, I was hoping for a yellow color in Cassie! They better make these available in the US!

@Teagaggle that looks awesome! How did you get into dying bags? Was there a Youtube video that you watched to learn the process? I'd be interested in maybe trying this on some pieces some day.
Thank you!
You know, I don't know why I started but have a tendency to jump into something like this & ask questions later. My first attempt was to a rip & repair line bag. Came with ginger accents which was ok, but I found that particular coloring limited when I carried. I did very little research...so more luck than brains for sure!
I've had a tendency to customize my bags, removing fringe or tassels, painting hardware, etc. I figure if Coach isn't making the bag I want & there is a low risk way for me to do my own, I will. I never do it on super pricey bags though. Always a bag I bought on sale or snagged online at a good price or, in this case, was going to rehome before I decided to change the color.
My desk job provides little opportunity to be creative so I gravitate to projects outside of work that allow me to see the end result, good or bad.
Hope that all makes sense!

Here is a sneak peek at my all black Cassie. Just did some final touch ups & is drying. After that, some finishing work like buffing & sealing, but I'm pleased so far. Strongly considering adding some customization once done but we'll wait & see.

Great inspiration! I have the same bag and considering dying the light blue parts to navy. Did you use fiebings black? I’ve dyed bags before... had a LV vernis and Longchamp patent bag that were both originally light blue but turned yellow. They were lost causes and dying was a success. Tried dying another lost cause (not patent) with less desirable results but seeing your final Cassie is tempting!

Hi, thanks!
Yes, used Fiebings- see photo.
I will tell you that the pebbled leather takes the dye COMPLETELY different than the smooth on this bag. It can tend to have a bronze cast when done, but with buffing & sealing, that dissipates. I have finished sealing mine & will condition & protect tonight & share a final photo later tonight. Its a bit shinier than I would like but that also diminishes over time with use.
Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.
