How is the wear and tear of the glazing and leather of Cassie 19? I am looking at the pebbled leather in cream or black...
I haven't seen any problem, but have had the purse about a month. I would just be careful with how I latch the clasps if I were you. It is a flap bag. It's not a Coach issue. If you construct any bag in that matter you're going to see some wear. While I think some people may see some defects/issues, I think a lot of that was just overkill for clickbait on YouTube. If the bag were that defective, they would have discontinued it already.

I've had mine for over a year. Glazing on the side is perfect still and I use this bag A LOT. It has two small cracks, one on each side of the flap. Only noticeable if you're looking with a magnifying glass.

I'm not concerned, I love this bag and as @starbucksqueen said, it was blown out of proportion on YouTube.

I have 4 Cassies that I have accumulated since the initial release which are in regular rotation with my other bags. They ALL have held up beautifully and no issues with the glazing or leather. My Cassies are my ride-or-die and I will never part with them!

Same here! I have 4 Cassies as well, and my first one was purchased right when they came out. Zero issues with any of them. They all still look new.

that’s good!I read reviews on Macy’s website and a lot were complaining on the straps coming off so their bag falls unexpectedly. They were complaining on the flimsy strap buckles attached to the bag i think

Has anyone had wear like this on their gunmetal Cassie? It’s chipping. I’ve only had it for a few weeks and only worn it probably 5 times. So sad

I've had that happen with the Jes flap also. That bag has very heavy hardware. I also may have put too many items inside. Maybe the weight forces the clasp to open?

Is it true that Coach won't repair bags if you buy them from another retailer? And Coach sells through so many other venues. I've either read or seen in an interview that Coach refused to prepare a bag that someone bought from Dillard's or Macy's. That doesn't sound right.

They wouldn't know if it is a bag they sell online/in their stores. They just won't do ones that are sold exclusively at department stores is my guess.

Good old voice recognition. I revised my original quote. I don't think it was a special edition bag. Perhaps the bag was over a year old. Maybe someone in customer service didn't know what they were talking about. You know in all the years I bought Coach, I don't think I ever needed a repair. I do have some that look rather shabby, but not in the "needs repair" category. Anyway, I just started odd that Coach would refuse to repair something from a retailer. Of course, I can remember when Coach really did have a lifetime guarantee LOL.

I had an SA at Coach tell me that as well, about 2 years ago. I specifically asked about Macy’s. He said it then falls under Macy’s warranty policy. And that it’s up to the department store to honor the warranty. They only warranty bags sold directly from them. It was confusing. I remember getting the feeling it was one of those topics that your told one thing from one store, and something different from another.

That's even more interesting since Macy's has revised its return policy from one year to 180 days to 90 days. I've never known anyone to take a bag back to Macy's and get a warranty. Usually, if it would break within the return window, they either refund your money or replace the bag. I've never worried about it because I've never purchased a full price bag at Macy's. I just figured they would wear out, etc. I think the one time I did return it, I wasn't happy with the glove tanned leather. I didn't want to be a serial return shopping diva.

I have seen issues with a lot of Coach pewter (which is the hardware on pine/aurora). I never used my aurora Cassie and ended up selling it because of the many problems I had seen online (not Cassies). It is a shame because I like that it is something different than brass :(
