There is something about Cassie...

Have you tried to do the pre-loved market? It is a lovely bag, however, other than LV, I've never paid $650 plus for a bag. After all, it's a bag you're supposed to use everyday. Pay too much for it and you'll be afraid to use it. That would defeat its purpose.
I have not really considered checking pre-loved Cassie. Maybe I should, thanks for the tip.

I’m happy with Coach quality and wouldn’t mind spending full price for the Cassie if I didn’t know how big of a discount it gets in US. If I’m not mistaken, it only got discounted here in Australia once during Black Friday sales at 20% off. You can’t find it in the outlet either.

Agreed - we don’t get the discounts that the US get! Last year the Australian coach site had the pine Cassie on sale for 50 percent off - for about five minutes. I had it in my cart but it sold out before I checked out.

Could that be a glitch on their site just like what happened with Coach Outlet in the US during Black Friday sale?:confused1:
I wonder if the Cassie will ever be sold in the outlets here in AU..

Part of me would be very sad. that would mean they're not going to make it anymore. I think they should hang on to some styles.
I wouldn't be dismissive of pre-loved; some people barely use their bags, don't smoke, etc. Some people are squeamish, but there a ways to clean and disinfect. I've been a long time handbag collector and I've had few problems doing that. It's been over 20 years. Even if I know people can pay, I hate to pay more than they should. I still own a few pieces of the vintage Coach and treasure them. Only the 1941 collection comes close. I think some of the Cassie's on eBay may be the $105 specials. You might get lucky. The problem is shipping to Australia. The cost is high. Not sure about duties either. I just have memories of mailing something to Japan many years ago. I don't know if that would make it cost prohibitive to you or not. Unless you can find someone in Australia selling one? I really hope you are to find a Cassie at a great price.

I've been looking online for a sale on the Cassie (or Cassie 19), in either black or chalk, since probably late November. I look every day! I check the regular website, the outlet website, Macy's, Nordstrom's, Dillard's, and Bloomingdale's. Nothing! Despite looking so often, I never saw the $105 black Cassie that turned up sporadically in December. So yesterday, I gave up and ordered a black Marlie top handle. I'm excited about it, and can't wait for it to come! But because I just ordered the Marlie, I think there's a 99 percent chance that the Cassie will suddenly go on sale. Just like we always get a snow storm the day after I take my snow tires off! LOL So, that's a heads up for people looking for a Cassie sale.

For those interested, I just purchased the Cassie Camera bag in taupe (half off) with code EXTRA15 to get extra 15% off. I don't know what else that code works on as I happened upon the code (it is not posted on Coach!). Rakuten is only 4% back today, but the sale is ending soon (not sure exact date).

It isn't on the outlet site (and hasn't been so far) yet. I haven't seen it at Seattle Premium Outlets yet. Maybe I will get lucky and it will show up before end of return period, but if not, at least I got it at 50% + extra 15% off
