I went to Disney in June, and carried a Longchamp. I was shocked to see the women walking around with designer purses in the theme park (A Prada fairy bag??? :confused1:)I know if I was lucky enough to have that, it wouldn't be toted around at Disney!

I like to carry Kipling bags when visiting theme parks---inexpensive, lightweight, "waterproof" in nylon (great for getting SOAKED on water rides and for rainy weather downpours!). They keep my essentials safe and dry!!

Longchamp, Prada and Burberry is considered inexpensive to you? Are you kidding me? Try a belt bag.

My thoughts exactly...:)

OP - I use a MBMJ canvas tote for longish (all day) trips. Theme parks are DIRTY and I would never bring a Burberry there (they're very easy to stain, imo - at least the nova prints are). Sometimes I carry a small older Dooney that I got for $18 off of ebay.

I took my longchamp last summer to Disney and I hated it. It got in the way when i was on some of the rides. plus I got tired of holding it (medium with the short handle). The year before I took my Prada backpack and it was annoying too. Everytime I wanted to take out my camera or water bottle I had to take it off, lift the flap, and pull the drawstring and it got annoying after awhile. So for November I bought a Coach swingpack (the heritage one that you can just wipe clean) and I love it!! I don't have to take it off for the rides or store it in a locker because it fits between my body and the safety bar/restraints. I was amazed that it actually fit my camera, small wallet, lip gloss, blackberry, small perfume, antibacterial, gum, tickets/maps and compact hair brush.

The last time we went to a theme park my husband wore cargo shorts. I locked my bag in the trunk. I put my ID and money in his wallet and he carried my phone in one of his cargo pockets. It worked out well and was nice to have him carry my stuff for a change!

Thats a great idea! Seems no matter what bag I bring, it's annoying. I think I try to take too many things: Camcorder, regular camera, money, lipbalm

We live at Seaworld and Aquatica(yr pass lol)..I carry my Gucci wristlet. I recommend wristlet or fanny pack/belt or slingpack cross the shoulder. Regardless if you are planning to ride rides you can't take it with you...so it will either be held by someone not riding or in a locker.

i bought a leather coach cross body bag just for that purpose. i have taken my balenciaga to disneyworld/land, but that's a lot less extreme. whatever i take, i make sure it zips all the way.
some parks with extreme coasters won't let you take it on, period.....sometimes they have lockers, but sometimes they don't.....something to consider if you just have to lay it down on the ride loading area.

I dont think they let you go on rides anymore with bags. I know 5 flags doesnt anymore.

I use a designer bag but its patent and its old. It's my beat up bag.

When I went on my hols last year to the desert, I took a Be&D Crawford Hobo. I dont think that it is a very well known designer brand. This bag is slouchy and big enough to carry travel info, tourist guide, suntan lotion (plus my various creams/makeup/perfume), maps and water bottle plus various snacks and it felt comfortable on. I was suprised at how much it could carry. I have one in a bronzey colour and I could throw it down anywhere and it looked as good as new. It will now go everywhere with me on my travels.
