trying to get a black caviar WOC in europe, the SA told me there is months of a waiting list, is this normal? She took my name and phone no. is that all the details they need to put you on a waitlist? Not sure if she was just trying to fob me off lol

I am from Canada and purchased one mid-February. They are definitely around and stores get stock regularly. It took me less than two weeks to get one. The first week I had called and went in to boutiques to check but none in black caviar. Managed to put my name down with two SAs from different stores. Went in on a Monday morning to check and lucked out - they had a shipment and apparently aren't allowed to call their lists over the weekend to give a fair chance to walk-in customers? That same week the other boutique gave me a call that they received stock as well.

Not sure where in Europe are you from but my DH was recently in Zurich and visited the Chanel there. I wanted WOC in Classic Black Caviar w/SHW but they only had it in GHW. Could have bought it but I wanted Silver. They also had the Classic in Silver Lambskin.

I purchased mine at the same location. I agree, stop by and check every few weeks and you’ll come up on one. My SA told me that they had some coming in or they could always have one shipped from another store.

Do you mind sharing your SA information? I am looking for the same but no luck so far in locating one

I use this base-shaper that I bought from LuxeDuJour (also on Amazon). It's pretty simple, just a rigid flat piece that runs along the bottom and there are various brands available that are all basically the same. It's perfect for what I wanted because I feel like the WOC is already so small that I wouldn't want to lose any space to an organizer. The base-shaper allows me to store things along the bottom (e.g. a tampon) without having to worry about it stretching the leather in weird ways.

I've heard that these base shapers can wear the leather from the inside out? People not realizing it until there is a hole in the side of their bag?

I heard that too so I just use my WOC as is. I don’t think a shaper is necessary personally.

Yes that could happen with the stiff and rigid base shaper ones thats why I specifically chose a soft and leather one as my shaper. Here’s mine - the edges are soft and rounded so it wont hurt the leather. It also not super exact so its not touching the edges of my woc
