I am very happy to report that the Chanel boutique in SF replaced my Classic WOC WITH a new one. That skipped link was a defect, and it does happen. At first the SA offered to "repair" it, butt when I expressed my frustration at the fact that this would be the 2nd time I had to bring in the WOC ( the first time was about 4 weeks ago when I noticed a stick popped on the side of the outer pocket). Then she asked me to wait while she called over the manager. So happy they decided to replace with new one. And lucky that they had one in stock today. They didn't when I brought it in to have the popped stitch repaired. Just FYI, I purchased it end of March this year.

Just wanted to share my little WOC story, hoping you guys have some advice.
I owned 2 WOCs previously (caviar, bought 10 years ago and sold a couple of years later as they didn't fit my lifestyle at that time) and never had any issues with quality. Just recently, I was able to snatch a classic black caviar with SHW - I was so happy. After storing it in my closet for 3 weeks, I closely inspected it an saw that the zipper compartment showed glue on one of the inner sides where the fabric was supposed to be stitched. I've attached a pic so you can see what I mean. When I wanted to put something into the compartment, the compartment stretched and the glue seemed to be pulled apart to a point where I feared it would come off (no, I didn't try to overstuff it). The WOC was brand new.
I brought it back to the store yesterday for a complaint, not a return as honestly, for a $2100/€1900 wallet, this is not acceptable. I was used to owning pristine WOCs (and bags). Instead of my beloved SA, the "WOC expert" took care of it and she wanted to convince me this was totally ok but I could take a store credit instead which I did in the end (it's Germany, thus no way to get any money back). I inspected 6 WOCs and out of these, 4 had obvious glue marks or glue marks in the zipper compartment. I mean, come on, this should be stitched, it's Chanel. Also, it made me worry about how long the bag would actually hold its shape.
Do you WOCs do show the same glue marks? I am pretty sure the ones I had owned had been stitched, not glued. It actually made me very wary of WOCs, although I would love to own one again. Just afraid of the quality and how it deteriorated over the past years. Do I overreact?

Thank you! The pink WOC is from the spring/summer 2016 collection so you definitely won't find it in boutiques any longer. I was on annsfabulousfinds.com a few days ago and I'm pretty sure they had one of these available that's in new condition so you may want to check out the site and see if it's still there. Good luck!

New to the WOC. After looking at the gorgeous photos you Ladies have posted, I went to my local Chanel store with my wish list in mind. (Note my "flagship" store is moving in November and currently housed in a department store so I know the stock is limited, regardless I went anyway.)
The WOC selection was limited to a few classic lines, one grey-silver camellia (really really pretty), and a few WOC boys - red, and black "chevron". I was told to try come back in September when they get in the new season stock. I even asked to see a black mini square and was told the new shipment came in recently and sold out in an hour. (Again, I am new to the brand and realize the popular items are rare to find in store.)
I asked - just in case - they had any "charms" WOC or black-on-black. She said those are limited and doubts they have the pocket on the back as you can only guarantee that will be on the "timeless classic" . I looked at the Chanel website and even wrote down the product numbers from a few I "hoped" they may have so I could see them in person, even if I knew that would not likely mean they had them, ordered them, or if I could ever get them...
Here is my "wish list"
- pocket on the back
- would like a turn lock closure rather than a snap (I found the snap awkward and needed both hands)
- cannot decide if I want gold or silver hardware, so I thought "black on black"...
- drawn to the Camellia and some of the chevron colours on black, or the charms
Please correct me if I am wrong regarding the answers I received for what I hope to find or what I asked for. The woman I spoke with admitted she was from the department store head office and not actually a Chanel employee. (There was power outage in the morning and she sent the regular staff for a lengthy lunch break after the hectic morning.)
1. So no pocket on the back for the Boy WOCs? Only on the "classic"?
2. No pocket on the back for the "charms" or any special edition WOCs?
3. snap closure on the "classic" and turn lock or "pinch" closure on the Boys?
I will check back in September and may even use this as an excuse to visit a bigger city to check the selection. (Such as New York.) Although I may just opt for the basic classic for my first WOC, but was truly hoping for a bit "more". Yet from what I've read above, once you get one WOC, it's not the end of your quest or the only one in your collection.

Hi everyone.I have just got the woc last weekend as a preloved one. The bag was bought in Oct 2016. I have just noticed that the chanel stamp on the flap was chipped off. Is it normal? my chanel medium and mini flap arw still in a good condition with a lot of use. Thanks everyone in advance.
