Thank you both for your kind words of encouragement. @pinkorchid20 I totally agree with you on the colour. It’s more opulent and deeper in person but it photographs as more of a turquoise green. And you’re right about black bags.
I bought her yesterday :flowers: she does make my heart sing everytime I look at her. I am in love and I’m in the trendy club

I was going to tell you to go with the green and happy to see that you did! It’s gorgeous, it looks great on you, and I really don’t think you have to baby this bag as much as people think. Congrats and enjoy!!

My husband got me my very first Trendy CC for a months-early wedding anniversary gift (it's our leather year!). My SA had to order it from another store since there was none in our local boutiques. It just arrived and I love it so much. I think they sent me an older model since it has the old version of the straps on it. The packaging was subpar as well, so I'm a little disappointed in that experience. There was no tag attached, no protective stickers on the hardware, and already some super faint scratches on the leather on the inside. I know a bag is meant to be used so I don't mind the scratches too much, especially since they're more on the inside. And thankfully, the plate on top looks to be in beautiful condition even though there was no protective sticker on it. At first I wasn't sure if I should keep it or try to get the version with the new straps. I already texted my SA about it, but I tried removing them and it does seem pretty convenient to be able to remove them, so I'm leaning towards keeping it now. What do you guys think? I'm so happy about this gift from him -- it means a lot since it's the first time he (or anyone for that matter; I've always purchased my own bags) has bought a designer bag for me. I don't want this to ruin the experience.

I have 2 trendies...one with the old strap and one with the new strap. It’s made no difference to me as I don’t plan to take the strap off when using it. Try rubbing the scratches out. My light blue one arrived with a scratch on the bag and it’s no longer there. I hope you can enjoy the bag if you decide to keep it. Happy anniversary!!

Thank you so much for your sweet reply  and great tip! I just rubbed it and they did seem to fade some of the scratches a bit, I’ll continue trying. I’m also relieved to hear you don’t have a preference for one strap over the other. I am still a bit disappointed in the presentation of it, but I think I’ll let it slide. For such a special and momentous occasion I would’ve ideally liked an in-store experience with my husband, but that’s out of the question given it’s so hard to get to a store these days. Considering it still came in near perfect condition despite not having any of the protective stickers and tissue stuffing, I feel lucky in that regard. I saw some other posts on this forum complaining about their Trendy CCs arriving in much worse condition. I think I’m ready to start enjoying this truly special and gorgeous gift! Well... around the house, at least, haha.

What a lovely, befitting and beautiful present. Great job to your hubby. I would advise you to get an exchange of the bag as 1) this isn't a cheap bag price-wise 2) you're buying luxury not a high street so it should reflect in your item bag 3) this bag when bought from store should look brand new and have protective stickers...if it doesn't high chance you're not the first owner and also scratches already...You shouldn't have to do all this pre-work to get it to a state you're comfortable with...it's luxury you should be ok with it from the offset.

Your exchanging doesn't change the fact your hubby got it for you. Personally, I'd advice you to get a pristine bag that stands the test of time...as your marriage will be forever, it'd be great for you to have a bag that starts off new )

If you can go into a chanel store with the receipt or tell your SA to source you a new one, I'm sure you won't regret it.

Good luck and Happy Anniversary )

You are sooo sweet. And this is why I keep coming back to this community: the support from everyone here is just incredible. Gushing aside, you are so right. In fact, here’s the update from yesterday: my SA was the one actually pushing me to exchange it for one in brand new condition. He simply would not let me settle for less and I am so grateful to him for that. He even showed the pics I originally sent him to his coworkers and managers and they were all in agreement that it was unacceptable they sent it to me in this condition. He was so sweet and went ahead and found me one from another store that is brand new (new version with the new strap design), straight out of the box, complete with all the protective gear and tags! He showed me the pics of the new one and the difference is just insane. I can’t believe I almost settled lol. He went ahead and complained to the original store that sent the “used” one to me and got me a return label to ship it back to them as well. Since it’s considered damaged now, my SA’s store can’t take it back for sale and we have to send it back to the original store. Totally understandable. The new baby arrives Wednesday and I can’t wait. Will post when she arrives!

FANTASTIC! Great news, I am so pleasedddd you did not settle. Honestly, you and your hubby don't deserve to be saddled with a gift that doesn't befit the greatness and sentiment of the celebration, the price paid, or the luxuriousness of the brand. Glad your SA was insistent and persevered for you. I can not believe that bag would be sold...it's something I'd expect from LV (I've had some from LV that have slipped through the net via ordering online, never in person) but Chanel...wow and in-store ordering. WOW.

Anyway, Looking forward to seeing photos  Please take many moments to soak in how new it is lol.

P:S Waiting patiently on the list for my trendy. First choice...Big quilts in black (apparently it's a seasonal piece) if that doesn't come then I'm getting the bag you own :P.

Oooo, how exciting for you!!! You'll have to update us when you get yours. You can't go wrong with either quilt choice, they are both sso stunning.

I need your help. Do you think the trendy cc is too similar to my medium classic flap? The main differences are the hardware (shw vs. chw) the leather (caviar vs. lamp) and the top handle. Both bags are black, quilted and about the same size.. the classic flap was my first Chanel, the trendy cc would be the second! Let me know what you think.

To me they are 2 very different bags, definitely go for the Trendy. You will use them differently I am sure.

Definitely different enough to have them both. Go for it!
