My wonderful boyfriend bought me a Legacy Signature shoulder penny purse for Christmas. He walked into the store and picked it out himself, I am so proud of him! Immediately when I opened the box, he said, "I have one request. Remove the tassels!"

I showed the bag to a friend and shared this story, to which he replied, "Eww! Listen to the man for once!"

Even my gay best friend was anti-tassel.

So I'm curious, how does everyone here feel about the tassels? Has anyone removed theirs?

I know this post is several years old, but: I have a Signature Penny and I removed the tassels for two reasons. (1) I think they are too large for the scale of the bag (2) when I walked they would bounce around and make a very annoying noise. I added a small Coach initial keychain to the side instead which I thought complemented the bag better. I like the tassels on some of the larger bags but I thought they were too large on the Penny.
