Hello all! I am absolutely delighted to find this thread which is still active. I live in the UK and have coveted this jacket for 10+ years so I'm late to the party and didn't think I'd have a chance of finding people who could advise me. The pricetag was always way out of my budget but I've recently discovered the preloved jackets at The RealReal and decided to take the plunge! I'm a uk size 14 and deliberating between size 42 and 44. My ideal jacket would be black with black, bronze or dark coloured zippers. Definitely not a fan of the shiny silver zippers. I've seen 2 possible options currently available on TRR one is described as Grey although it looks nearly black to me. It's a 2010 edition size 44. The other, also a 44 is black, 2010. The jacket itself looks a bit shiny which I don't like. Just wondering if that's a feature of the leather that particular year? Or if it's just a bad photo? I prefer a mat textured look. So, I'd really love any advice about which size and I should go for?

I decided to go for the 2010 grey size 44. I've worked out from reading lots of the previous chat that the actual colour must be tempete, that the sizing ran a little small that year which answers my question about going for a 42 or 44 and also that the leather was thicker in 2010 which is exactly what I want. I'm so excited about finally owning one of these jackets. I really thought I was going to be 10 years out of fashion but I can see that there is still a demand and lot of interest on this forum. The style is timeless. I hope to enjoy it for another 10 years

Hi there, I’m sorry to hear about your repeat disappointment with these purchases but ( without being an enabler!) I would encourage you to keep looking because they are worth it when you find a good one they’re just become better the more you wear them to your own body too.
I have a decent size collection of my own and can’t part with any of them for this reason but it took me a long time to track them all down. My strategy was first to decide what colour I really wanted, my best fit/ size and then just reach out here or searching online and posting here for people to comment because it’s where all the knowledge is... sadly though, smells cannot be seen in pics and that’s my worst nightmare with these too because you can’t just put them in the wash and as you said dry cleaning is just as bad.
is there a particular colour you’re looking for? We can all keep a lookout for you ... good luck for next time!!

That’s another beauty wow... would you ever have thought that a biscuit 07 would sell so cheap though?! Amazing.
every now and then when I consider selling one or two of mine something seems to happen to put me off selling!! :confused1:I just think they’re worth more.. unless there’s an issue with thecondition I didn’t read the ad. Classic Beauty though nonetheless ;)

It's in beautiful condition I believe! It's unfortunately (fortunately if you are a buyer) the price they are making at the mo! There have been some true beauties sold for even less, 08 greys/chocs etc. A bit like the old Bal City bags that are selling for way less now..defo keep hold of your motos!
