Hope the fires last summer didn't get too close to where you are.....I don't think anyone in NSW wants to deal with what we had last year, especially with summer on our doorstep.Hope everyone has stayed well this year. I went offline when the bushfires began and never really got back but I can still confirm that these motos are still the best out there!!! I sold NONE and LOVE and wear them ALL still!! Lols

I have had the worst luck with Bal jackets on TRR. I ordered three at different times. One smelled so old. It also smelled strongly of dry cleaning. The dry cleaning could not mask the old smell.
The second one was so beat up. I told TRR it should have been donated, not sold.
The third was covered in white stuff. For my sanity, I’ll say it was paint. It was all over the jacket.
So disappointing. I have one more coming and hoping the fourth time will be the charm! Fingers crossed!

Hi all - new to the Bal moto thread. Just received my first moto jacket from TRR and the security tag is still attached to it Never purchased from them before.
So I purchased a size 40 from the 2008 edition and it fits ok but I can't zip it up. Are these supposed to be worn mainly unzipped?
In addition to contacting them about the security tag, I'm just wondering if I should return it and get a larger size.

They were designed to be worn open but going through the old posts, some leaner ladies were able to zip.
For me (34 bust 29 waist) a 42 fits perfectly in the shoulders but I feel like I’ll pop the zipper when I zip it. I tried a 44 and found that while I could zip the shoulders were too wide. That’s just me though. I would recommend checking the measurement for each jacket because I think there was variability between years.

For me, the only measurement I need to check when purchasing is the shoulder measurement. If the jacket doesn't fit around my shoulders & restricts that movement, then I literally won't reach for it ever. I do have a small bust, so the bust measurement doesn't matter to me. Although, if the shoulders are too big, then the jacket ends up 'sagging' too much over the bust area. I wear 2 sizes of motos, so some of my jackets I can zip & some I can't, but I have never worn any of them out zipped up. I also think these jackets were designed to be worn open. Hope that all helps. 2008 leather is amazing, so congrats on snagging one of those. Also to confuse the issue a little more, each jacket will have a very slightly different fit, so its always good to try & research what others have said about fit or ask here
Got the jacket. It smells and is hard and stiff in places. I think TRR touched it up with dye. Going back. End of my Bal jacket journey (pre-loved).
I’m guessing the previous owner did, rather than TRR. They don’t have the time to mess around with that type of thing. Maybe keep an eye out for TPFers selling? There will be the perfect jacket out there for you somewhere!
