Well, I went a bit mad with online Boxing Day sales today (Ferragamo Vara bow bracelet and some London blue topaz earrings from Blue Nile). As I was in the mood for spending money, I went to the UK Hermès website and bought two SS 2017 scarves.

I am not going to tell you which ones! It was very hard to choose only two, but I had to justify it to DH - "Darling, I have to get in before the price increase, really, really I do!"

I love a lot of the patterns, but so many of the cws would not suit me. Such a shame that a I cannot travel to a boutique and actually try some scarves on. Never mind :p

Good thing to do!
My order finally is here as well as some alone time to take some pics:

The book was a gift from DH :-)

I loved the pattern at first sight. There are many gorgeous CWs, it was so hard to choose, but CW 5 is the most stunning one, reminds me of Bollywood movies. I am a bit afraid that the bright colors, especially the orange, wash me out. On the other side: I love orange in my CSGMs.
Maybe the marine/parme/mauve CW 10 will follow, but this one I would like to try at the store....

It ties beautifully, but the fabric is "harder" than my other silk twills, not as drapey, might take some time to break it in.

I am very unsure whether to keep or return this one:
What I like about it: the combination of light blue, taupe, gray and warm brown tones as well as the apttern and how dynamic the horse looks.
Dislikes: too much black, how it ties (somehow it reminds me of cowhide when placed around my neck).
I like it, actually quite a lot, but I am not sure I like it 345€ much :confused1:.
Please help me decide! Many many pics on how it ties:

Last one: Cavalcadour Fleuri, can't find the references and CW at the moment.
So soft and creamy, elegant (the background) yet playful (the flowers and how they wind around the background pattern), it makes my happy!
There is only one action shot yet, from a walk during my Christmas travels, bravely combined with my reindeer ear muffs I got from secret santa: 1482671106078s.jpg

I think this is the nicest CW of Appaloosa, but you are not alone in finding it a difficult scarf. The knots and the simple drapes look nice on you, though! For me there can never be "too much black" (LOL), so that confused me. How does it look with a blue blouse, and showing more of the blue in the design? Thank you for being an early adapter of this scarf!

I've been eyeing this exact CW for Le Jardin de la Maharani (I love the bright colours and it does a have very "Bollywood feel") I also have been eyeing same cw for Calvacadour. I think you look great in both. And your pictures have convinced me that I need these 2! So thank you!

As for your Appaloosa, I understand your comments about the black. I've been debating the Appaloosa myself and wondering if the design works betters as a CSGM?
Liked Momasaurus's idea of pairing it with a light blue blouse or sweater - maybe that would tone down the black (It still looks nice on you though). Let us know! And congrats! :)

Lovely choices. This is cw 07 blanc/violet/rose and looks fab on you.

Honeylocks I think they all look beautiful on you. I feel the same about that colorway of appolossa. Im intrigued but not sure about it. I think it's pretty on you but of course if you aren't completely in love you know the answer.

Jardin de la Maharani is killing me both as a CSGM and 90. May have to break my rules about multiples. Again. Resistance is futile.

There is such a bounty of great designs, but am I crazy to be bummed that Paperoles was not reissued as a CSGM? Can I hope for Fall 2017?

We might have quite similar taste from what I remember you purchased in the past. And here you go, you picked 3 exact designs and CWs that I have on the top of my list so you can imagine how much I appreciate your photos (I'll have to order online if I want to purchase any before January). I think the appaloosa looks great on you, but I think I understand what you mean with the too much black. Black is usually challenging for me, so I literally don't have any scarf with black being the dominant color, still trying to find one that could work. The light blue, taupe and brown parts (also what make this CW being on the top of my list) might stand out more if you wear it with a black top, though I don't know if you wear black tops much. I don't know if you're also interested in the CSGM in the same CW? I think this color combination might make the CSGM easier to wear than the 90 with a coat. The mane of the horse will look so lovely on a coat. I think in 90 it feels a bit more formal. Well.... but then you need to like it 920€ much! :p

your wish is my command: I tried it with light blue, navy, taupe and gray. Due to bad weather only bathroom pics, colors are a bit off.
Well done, Ladies, now I want to keep it. And as we all know: the money tree needs blood, sweat and tears to grow...;).

Marvelous! I think this one's a keeper! ;) I love how you tied it in the first of the four photos.
