I feel the same way since there are so many "blocks" of color in this scarf. I like the Appaloosa and the border. Still deciding how I feel about the background.
Thank you for sharing this photo. If it's from Alice Shirley, it's very different from how I would imagine her interpretation of the Appaloosa horse. Well, but what do I know? Usually it's love at first sight for me when it comes to her design. But I'm not sure what I think of this one yet.
It definitely looks Alice Shirley. The eye reminds me of Tyger's eye. I like the scrolly parts in the background. This colorway just has a whole lot going on doesn't it?

Or maybe black and white with just a color popping horse like how they did it with one of the Sieste au paradis cws (black and white with a pop of green). H always does an excellent job with colors, but for someone like me who has collected quite a few "colors" season after season, maybe something quieter with only a hint of color will be a good break.
Although I really like how the mane flows so nice.

Yes, looking at the eye I agree with you. It has that capricious, naive touch that is quite her. I guess it's mainly the background that makes it hard for me to associate it to her.

I agree, there is a lot going on in that scarf. I like the background pattern, which could be very interesting in other colorways. I am not sure about the horse. It is a bit "scary".
As with everything H, i need to see it other colors. It may be very different.
