I am having the hardest time choosing between these two. I know that the pale one is rather plain - essentially it's winter white with pale gray, pink and green - but it's so neutral it will go with everything (I tried it on with a taupe shirt on and it went perfectly with that as well). Very fresh and crisp and pretty. The blue is of course stunning. Do I need both?

I had a store credit and picked up the blue but am obsessing about the one I left behind....

What a dilemma! Personally I'm in love with the blue. Have not seen it in real life so really appreciate your photograph of it. I think if you really can't get the pale one out of your head, and feel that it is one that you would wear often, then go get the pale one. If you are planning to keep both, I think you can justify it because the colours are so different - they feel like two completely different scarves. Let us know! :)

BBC,

I totally understand. Initially I did not think the pale one would work for me, as I feel I'd look like washed out with my Asian skin tone. But the SA asked me to try, vola! The background is not beige or white, rather, I would describe it as pearl white. It has that glow. I think you know what I mean. At end, I chose the pale one and a different blue, darker than what you have here.

I
I like the pale one. I bought the very pale bateau fleuri a few seasons back. I thought geez, I hope it works for me. It's so pretty. I found that it works perfectly. Mine has bits of light blue and grey. I wear it with navy in the summer a lot to lighten it up. Both are very pretty though.

Both lovely. The pale one is so elegant, and seems to have a really nice pink/peachy tone. Contrast hem? I can't see. That would be the clincher for me.
If you are dreaming and obsessing about it.........

Thanks for the opinions. [emoji41] That's the word for it, Momasaurus - it's elegant. I wish they made something like this in a GM.

I have been buying H scarves for a fairly long time.....20 years? [emoji51] I've never really gone for the monotone scarves - the style was always lost on me. But now as I get older I realize that it's nice to have a few that just go with everything - a nice touch, and one that doesn't complete with what I'm wearing.

The white Paperoles is very pretty IRL - I do wish the colors were just a touch more saturated - but now I also find myself scouring Ebay to see if there's anything I really missed over the years that would have worked instead, esp in the shawl size (*maybe* Jardin de Leila; the Dallet shawl didn't have any color at all except the hem so I still would still have passed; no dip dye cashmeres...) - not really.

The blue is very pretty and it does have the contrast hem - I don't think the white does. The blue was a no brainer for me, the colors are gorgeous and the hem is my shade of red. I was starting to feel self-conscious in the boutique going back and forth between the two, so I just took the blue because I know that will sell out faster - the white will go when the weather gets warmer.

I apologize, as I know this CW 09 of Appaloosa has been posted already, but I hope it can help others in deciding to see it tied differently on different members as well. I was between this one and CW 01 with the B/W horse, and CW 12 with the grey/blue horse. Both of those have very strong bold colors in the design portion which I loved, but I eventually narrowed down to 09 or 12. Ultimately I decided this one somehow worked for me, possibly because of the amount of black, but also, there is something quite special about the touch of "ciel"/sky blue color which I usually cannot wear at all. I hope I made the right decision!! Here are a few photos of it tied in different ways...hope this helps/enables some of you :graucho: As usual, so sorry for the huge photos!!
