I found that Under the Waves ties like a dream , love the 70s vibe it gives me when tied .
I was interested in the pink, then a teal pink, and white .The SA where I shopped persuaded me to try CW 02 which is something I'd never pick out for myself .
She kindly explained the brighter one was more youthful, so it was a given I'd buy it !
Because I was wearing navy jacket , pale shirt and dark jeans it looked brilliant , and I see it with a black as well as white shirts and tops.
There is a lot of mauve and purple in here [ see that bit at the bottom , that my fave]as well as a lot of yellow, both of which I love .And the blues , what blues!
I know a lot of you avoid yellow, so you won't be into this at all .For me a spot of yellow lifts more than my spirits , it lifts the face at the same time
I'm deliberating whether to revisit other colour ways before I decide whether to keep it .I usually avoid brightly coloured scarves, maybe previous seasons brights pulled harsh on me.

I'll post it in a day or two with some more inspiring outfits and show which colours work in case anyone has an interest in this colour way.

Ohhh this looks so beautiful on you FF! What a perfect design and CW for you

I tried this CW on and it looked no where near as good on me as it does you!

Twins! I think of these colors as rich, rather than bright. I think it looks lovely on you.
And of course I love all the blues/ purples.

That is a keeper Frou Frou! it suits so well IMO..

Very beautiful on you! I love yellow [although I don't have any with this bright of a shade] so I may be biased but to me it is a perfect choice. And H blues are the best!

this combination of blues and yellow is so flattering and suits you perfectly. I do think though you should ALSO try green/pink ( i picked that one). It seems it will also be great on you. But do keep this one in any case!!;)

That is fabulous on you Frou Frou! It's a keeper!

I like to study colors and the various combinations and "seasons" they favor. I found out something interesting to me about color. An almost neon yellow or vivid clear yellow with a slight undertone of green looks better on cool complexions (those with an undertone of pink) than gold which apparently goes well with complexions with a golden undertone. However, gold suits those whose coloring corresponds to "autumn." So either way yellow is a good color for me.

I find the bright yellow with a greenish undertone (which is a color in fashion now) is great but in cooler weather, the gold color is fine. I never looked at yellow for years and years. At H they would comment how much I avoided yellow. What did I miss!!!! I am making up for it now.

This is gorgeous. And gorgeous on you! [emoji7]

Thank you all for your very kind comments , with your positive feedback plus DH's approval I think I'd be foolish to return it !
I feel kind of OK about having been greedy this season because I hadn't much in the way of blue or green silks before .

Thank you MsHermes Aus I sometimes wonder about initial impressions trying in store , sometimes a different day , a different outfit and a different mirror can give a whole new take .
I tried the pink and burgundy [ my comfort zone] in Harrods and swore to make it mine, but a different store, better light and a more on-the -ball SA turned it round .

Isn't it funny how things work out! You go in expecting to like a design or CW, and you often come out with something very different! This was one of the CWs I specifically requested to see, expecting to love it and add it to my collection. I personally love wearing yellows and bright blues, but for some reason, it just didn't work for me. I ended up with a couple of UTW moussies instead :smile1: The design is one of my all time favourites!

MYH You have such a way with silks , they succumb to your touch and seem to lie just so . I don't know what it is with moussies : the older one I had didn't do a lot for me colour wise but did tie quite well , but the new to me one from a recent issue seems to be so pooofy !
It is heart stoppingly beautiful and I don't regret buying it , but TBH I don't feel I do it justice compared to you mousse lovers.
I'll try your way and post it on SOTD when appropriate !;)

frou frou,
This is BEYOND BEAUTIFUL! I, too, love love love this design! The colorway you chose seriously speaks to me! (I already have two of this design, so I don't think I can justify a third, but boy, if I could, I would JUMP at this one.) I LOVE a spot of yellow! It is the perfect dose of sunshine! :sunshine: Enjoy your new scarf! You are a ravishing beauty in it!

:flowers: You are all so sweet , thank you!
Ladybaga C'mon, be my twin ! You will glow in it and what's this word 'justify' ? Sounds scary!!
Expat Wife C'mon , I'd love you to get it too ! I want some company!
Pirula You know you love a bit of yellow too :graucho: just saying'
The tie is just a cowboy , tied behind neck so that one tail is a lot longer than the other , then the long tail brought in front .
It would need magnets to stay , I must get round to getting some as I know they work well .

Well, with all this lovely affirmation and the sun shining , I'm going to wear it today :D

I concur, also I've found the outside light makes such a difference when trying in store.
