I'd decided to resist buying anything this season until I decided to try something in the store for fun and from curiosity .
I hadn't fallen for the silks in the Sieste au Paradis design , something about the border and the scale didn't gel for me.
But I was bowled over by this CSGM , and had the hardest time deciding between this Blanc, Vert, Rose and the beautiful coral with turquoise and vermilion trees .
Coral is a massively flattering colour but having made a few shawl mistakes in the past year I particularly wanted a something as useful as it is beautiful . Something quiet but still arresting and that would look great with blues and greys as well as black.
My most worn and loved shawl is the Noisette Femme aux Semelles du Vent also by AlineHonoré , so thinking of that I chose a colour way with a lot of pale neutral enlivened by deliriously lovely jade, petrol and turquoise .

And of course the Bois de Rose border and trees settled the matter .It looks Japonesque to me and I'm always a goner for that!

:woohoo: Beautiful, and on you perfection!

I'm not surprised you compare it to LFaSdV, for me Sieste and La Femme are the best of H designs in terms of elegance, travel, such wonderful detail too, they are 'forever' designs. BTW, I thought you had the black and gold LFaSdV shawl, I must be mistaken. Even though I have 2, it was the brown/purple silk version that was the 'one that got away' but I'd kill for the shawl too now, I was much too careful in those days :cool:.

I tried to get to H just today but alas too late, shopping for my Valentine has meant such self-sacrifice. :D
