Hi ladies - I apologize for the late response. Things have been busy on the home and work front and then, I also never figured out how to multiquote on my phone app. So, here goes

I have this coral/salmon DD and love how neutral it is for me. We have similar coloring. You should keep the one you will wear and enjoy most. It seems you prefer the coral one? I love how it looks like a vintage silk piece and I wear mine with my rouge Garance Evelyne. Do you reach for the blue one? If not, the you should consider exchanging or gifting to your mother. BTW I think you look fabulous in coral.

Thanks for your advice Lanit. It was actually yours and Maedi's scarf pictures that made me rethink my decision. I love the coral as well and think that it coordinates better with most of my wardrobe. However, was just worried it wasn't as flattering on my skin. I am glad to hear that you think it wears well on me.

I agree with lanit-- I think the pink looks great on you in this photo.

Thanks calexandre! I appreciate the vote of confidence. BTW, I love your Leila and will be on the lookout for them on my next boutique visit.

Wow, both CWS are gorgeous. Slightly prefer the salmon...

Thanks momasaurus. That is my preference too!

Make that three agrees though both look beautiful on you.

Thanks memo. I do love both, but think I like the salmon just a little more.

perfumegirl01, I also think you look lovely in both colorways but I vote for the saumon pink as well - I am absolutely in love with mine even though I initially thought the color was too close to my skin tone. Instead it makes me happy to see all the soft colors and the gorgeous details, and is one of my most-worn dip dyes. I personally love wearing it with denim and a white tshirt. Good luck with your decision!

Thanks KittyHawk. I am glad that you feel the same way about the pink. I was also told it was too close to my skin tone and looked awkward but personally felt that it might be nice to have to have a soft pinky coral that could go from summer whites to early fall browns.

Love the blue
Any chance you can keep both
They do look different enough to have both in your collection

Thanks TT. I adore your growing collection and appreciate your opinion. I think the blue is lovely, and that was why i initially bought it. Technically, I could keep both in my collection, but I am have very limited closet space and funds so probably don't qualify as a collector. I find that when I have more than 1 of the same pattern, i end up using on one cw. So now, I have a strict one in, one out rule. If I keep the pink, the blue will either be resold or gifted to my mom. probably the latter because after all, mom's closet is always open to being borrowed :graucho:

This is a tough call, perfumegirl as they both look lovely on you and I have a particular fondness for DDs.
I would try to keep BOTH as I think they are so dissimilar but if I could only keep one ~ and I am going against the popular vote here, I know ~ I would keep the blue :hugs:

Thanks for your advice Vigee and for being willing to go against the majority opinion with TT. I admire your ability to wear color so very much value your opinion. It is somewhat dreadful not to be able to keep both but I kind of think that is for the best. Leave some room in the closet for those fall 2014 scarves :giggles:
I preferred the salmon on you before I even read your dilemma. I'm sure you made the right decision for you

Hi Papertiger, thanks for your vote. With Hermes, I fear there is never a wrong decision.

After all is said and done ladies, I think I will go with the pink. Thank you so much for all taking the time to provide me with your thoughts and making me feel like I could not make a bad choice either way :hugs:

Wow beautiful additions every one.

I have 5 cats that I adore ( I love them a lot so I don't miss an opportunity to mention it).
I wasn't a big fan of Dallet but once I got my cats I bought all his scarves.
I resisted buying JL CSGM this season until today.
I am glad i did.
One of the section of JL is a bit similar to "mythiques Phoenix" - I never noticed that before.

I did't notice the difference either! So,which is MP in your picture? The dark gray one?

Beautiful pics arabesques!

I couldn't resist both cws (in the silks) either and it proved to be a record season for me, too many irresistible scarves, and true to form I could never leave a mythical winged creature behind held captive in a draw :D

Thanks, Papertiger. The call of the winged creature . . . Every time I go to H, I'm pulled to grab both 90cm versions. I know I shouldn't—not only because of the format (less useful for me) but mainly because the pareo truly looks better with its see-through softer whites—but this design is a siren.

A record season for you—and suddenly I realize a record season for me.

There are three more scarves to share from SS 2014 before the fall Marwaris appear on my doorstep . . .

First, a Songe de la Licorne in natural/saumon/corail. This color way hasn't been posted in the thread (or so I've been told, so apology if I'm in error there). This is my first CSGM, and how heavenly. This spring and summer, my wardrobe has moved into shades of blush, pink, and coral, so this scarf is the crowning touch.

And at the very same time as falling for the CSGM format, I've fallen for the Maxi Twilly too.

The first to steal my breath away is the Kachinas in Rouge Vif/Orange/Ebene. This scarf makes me simply happy. It's like a radiating sun.

The second is Brides de Gala in Canard/Marine/Gris Acier. As soon as I put this one, I was a goner. It's the perfect blue for me, and the Canard just pops against my wardrobe.

I use them as headbands and as belts. As soon as it grows cooler, I'll be looping them around the neck. I'm now a loyal fan of this format and hope for many more in the months to come!

arabesques, this Songe is so gorgeous. Congrats on moving into this format! And the CW is so light and lovely! I look forward to some modeling pix.

Hm, you are making some convincing arguments for the maxi-twilly! Very nice pix, arabesques!

ADORE the belt pic! Very inspirational! You look so very fashionable and lovely :)

arabesques, your maxi twilly pics are inspiring! Never been a fan but I might have to re-think this, they all look so great on you. Love your blue skirt, too

Lovely arabesques. Although I have one maxi twill, Brazil in fuchsia, I find that I don't gravitate to it often, but your post has inspired me to try again. I especially like the way you tied the belt with less width of the scarf showing. I am very petite (just under 5') so it is a little tricky to not have the obi sash look take over half of my body!! I will try your method today:smile1:

My goodness Dear you are killing me!!! What is the cw # of this Licorne???? I feel like the Unicorns really stand out on this cw bc of it's neutral background... Looks spectacular!

This is a late-breaking addition for me, and a "naughty 90cm," but I couldn't resist this blanc/vert/brun Leila.

Calexandre Cheering that you got the Leila and my goodness isn't it beautiful ! Seeing it now,[ I've only just spotted your post] , makes any resistance futile ....

Love the look of it with the shirt , it will be great to wear in Winter with darker colours too.

Lovely reveals , all look fab on you as ever . Your Licorne is so lovely , as IF said the unicorns stand out and the detail looks exquisite in this muted colourway .
You found two sizzling Maxi twillies too , the belt looks so stylish and much nicer than a 90 or 70 .

What a gorgeous cw of Licorne! I love anything Naturel, but this one is truly special, so harmonious!
The MT looks fabulous, especially as an obi, you have a perfect waist, so the MT is a great touch.
