There are a bunch of new spring scarves on H.com right now, including 5 CWs of Le Bal des Oiseaux:

I love ALL of the Le Bal des Oiseaux scarves. I'm receiving the noir as a Mother's Day gift. I would like to have them ALL!

Here's a pic of a 1963 scarf with white background. You be the judge. However it does get stains easily and you need to check before putting back to the box after wear. But given the number of scarves you will be buying, I doubt if you will wear any given scarf 5 out of 7 days a week to worry about over-aging it.

Chestnutty and les Tambours-- thanks for your responses-- clearly based on Chestnutty's pic, even after 50+ years the white looks pretty darn white! Thanks so much, guess I'm off to take another look at the white background-ed scarves again *gulp*
