I ordered the Phoenix pareo this week and it's just lovely. Hand washing it helped to soften it up a little. It will be perfect for hot summers.
sdye, what a great way to start with H (that's how I got started too and it's a slippery orange slope). Enjoy your beautiful scarf!
PS I did pop by the Chanel forum a few weeks ago and have been peeking in as I'm looking for another CC tote.![]()

Ga. I. Need. This !!! NOW !!!I ordered the Phoenix pareo this week and it's just lovely. Hand washing it helped to soften it up a little. It will be perfect for hot summers.
It's approx 69" x 36".Do you happen to know the dimensions of the pareo? I'm considering it, but H.com doesn't say how big it is.
Seriously! I have to bug my SA to find this for me!!!Ga. I. Need. This !!! NOW !!!
It's approx 69" x 36".
Perfect for beach coverup/shawl/or even worn around body and then tied at neck as a dress (with a base dress/slip underneath, since it's sheer) It goes beautifully with black, etoupe, indigo and even raisin. It's a dream with my indigo box birkin.

Bug, bug and bug your SA, Nico! Went to FSH for this one, none (went out with Eperon d'Or, not exactly the same price range...) and none at George V today as well...Seriously! I have to bug my SA to find this for me!!!
Good Luck, HermesHope! 16 months ago, this 'H victim' went into H to get a scarf for her friend as a Xmas gift. Out of curiosity, she unboxed the scarf to investigate why H silkies were silly enough to spend such a fortune on these scarves. She decided to keep the Xmas gift for herself for 'further investigation'. Within a week, she got a second scarf to aid her investigation. In time, she was acquiring at the rate of 1/week on average. Now she has a collection of 60 but is still buying for still further investigation. She still couldn't understand why she couldn't stop!![]()
Hello stylemechanel,Hello D Lee, you wrote this post on February 21 and it really spoke to me. So I wanted to thank you and telll you that you have made me feel sssooooo much better!!!
I am just stepping in to the world of Hermes, again, after a truly horrendous experience last May (and that was only my second time in a boutique in 4 years - it was a scary prospect). But this very lovely SA helped me to find a scarf and taught me how to knot it in a number of ways. I left smiling not only at my new experience but at the beautiful silk wrapped around my neck. Then I went back the following week, the one after that, and the one after that where I just decided to buy two more.I now have 5 in the space of one month.
I marvel at your collection of 60!!! And wonder where they are stored. I think I am going down the same slippery orange slope. Your post to HermesHope really hit a cord for me. Thank you!!!
By the way I have been a lurker here for a while. Hope it's OK for me to post.
Hello stylemechanel,
In the early stages of my scarf collection, I likened myself to a drug addict. I NEEDED my fix at H every few days. Then I got my fix on a weekly basis. Before I knew it, Ihave been visiting H bimonthly. Recently I discovered I only get 'genres' I do not possess. For me, this H scarf obsession is like releasing a starving child at a buffet. Of course the hungry child eats everything in sight quickly at the beginning. In time, he becomes more discerning & eats slowly. Finally he will pick food that is truly outstanding! He will stop altogether when he is full(I am still not at this stage yet)!![]()
Storage is indeed a headache. The truth is, I also get bags, shoes, jewelry & the like. Yes, my wardrobe is bursting at the seams. So I put some orange boxes in the guest room. I hope I don't end up storing the boxes in the cats' room.
Do show us your acquisitions! It is such a joy to view all these 'objects of beauty'!
Ladies - sorry I have been MIA. Packing for a big move to LA has sucked up almost all of my time. Of course I had to swing by H to say goodbye to my SA and this beauty followed me home. And it doesn't hurt that it matches with ms orange Pico. Hello spring!
