ITA, there is something incongruous in the marriage of the field and the border.
The border feels like a 19th century botanical etching, while the field has an almost commercial illustration feel to it. On the other hand, H scarves can do some amazing visual feats when tied, so this one may surprise.

As chestnutty showed it above, it DOES show beautiful corners, but ITA that the field looks kind of... hmm... unfinished.

Ok, here's one that hasn't been talked about much that appeals to me, at least in this colorway. Its Promenade au Faubourg, which shows interlocking staircases and walkways inside the H flagship at 24 FSH. This cw below will really work for me, in burgundy, camel, etc, in pics that have come my way. I know its not for everyone but I generally prefer darker, not bright scarves.

How fab is this CW? I hope they make it in the 140 size!

Oh my, this is wonderful - I too would love it as a GM! Is this one a gavroche or a 90cm, do you know? Whatever it is, thanks for posting, Julian!

... Adding this a few minutes later: Never mind, I see it's a gavroche, found it on H.com in Europe. It may be too overwhelming for me in a larger size, but the gavroche is lovely and I'd love to try on a GM in this cw (if it exists).

Oooh Cosmopolitan! I love this design and burgundy colourway! I've only seen colourways 04 and 13 on the Hermes website for this design shown below:

Agreed! I also decided on the 140 after seeing the 90 version of Echec au Roi. The design seemed less busy & in better proportion on a 140.

I love the colors of the chess pieces & with the contemporary feel of this piece, I went with basic colors of green, yellow, blues with some black/grays on a white background :)

Here is my GM in CW 09, Blanc/Jaune Vif/Bleu.

Superbe!! Enjoy!!

Oh thanks mimi 123! Which is the black/white one? Is it colourway 04 below? This 04 is on my wishlist as well! :p

That is CW14. I am really into the black white one. The guy, carriage and horse are in different places, so cute! :graucho:

This reminds me of the MC Escher staircase. It is very you, Cosmopolitan and quite cool! Thanks for sharing!:smile1:

I can still find some patterns in the new editions that I like but I definitely think the silk has become thinner and softer and wrinkles more quickly. It is not just the starching of the older ones, the silk is thicker. My latest Galop Chromatique has a very thin, almost flimsy feel.

Aren't they always 63 grams?

Another scarf that I'm looking forward to is the reissue of Les Voitures a Transformation. I'm a sucker for reissues like this and I hope H comes through with some great colorways. Here's a pic of an older issue of the design from the database at luxury-scarves.com.

jamberry and tinkerbell69, love your selections of Echec Au Roi and Ceintures et liens respectively! Thanks for the lovely pictures! Congrats!!!!!

Now for experts here, I'm looking into the 45cm Gavroche Pique Fleuri...and discovered something strange again with the color numbers!

Here is TankerToad's gavroche which she posted as colourway 09 Bleu Jean/Beige Dore/Orange

But Hermes France website posted this colourway as 04!!!

Here is a comparison picture of TankerToad's 09 vs. Hermes website 04 on lower left corner.... they are the same colour but TT's tag shows 09 and Hermes website shows 04 for the same colour!!

(FYI, in Hermes website, 09 is a navy blue colour as shown below..totally different from TT's 09 above)

Is the C'est La Fete colour mix up happening again on this Pique Fleuri Gavroche??? Hope not! If any experts know here, please shed us some light. I really love this colour for the gavroche. Thanks thanks!

Oh no...not again!
