I've seen/tried on Pique in several colors now. It is definitely very busy. In some of the more neutral colorways the busyness isn't as obvious because the transitions between the sections of the scarf aren't as sharply demarcated as in the neon colorways. Nonetheless, even in the less bold colorways a lot is going on. I love botanical patterns but this was a bit too stylized for me, and I couldn't seem to vary its looks much with different knots. I'm sure it will be styled beautifully by any number of other people here, who will hopefully post photos!

Thank you for the info, calexandre. I'll definitely seek out the neutral cw's of the design, though it does look like it may be too busy for me.

I'm also somewhat curious about Ors Bleus d'Afrique by Zoe Pauwels - I've seen 2 cw's on the French H.com (only one left now), and while the colors left me indifferent, I would probably be tempted by a black-and-white cw; but the question is, does it exist? (Btw, at a cursory glance it looked more like a Christine Henry design to me than the real Christine Henry.)

There's a black/white/red colorway (scroll to the very bottom of the page) of the Ors Bleus d'Afrique. I'm in for this colorway and has told my SA to reserve for me.

ladies and gents,

since i am so new to this, what happens when H re-releases an old design... do they stick with the same CWs or do it in new CWs? i am just trying to plan ahead for the graff shawls and have been looking online at the silks... i don't know what i should expect.

thank you all!
Don't know if this has been answered yet, I haven't read that far!! If a scarf is re-issued, the color ways are changed entirely - I've never seen re-issues that are duplicate color ways.

i agree with you! the 70 is a great size nestgirl! i can't wait to play around with it....

wow that is really interesting to know! thank you so much les tambours! 53 CWs!!!!

once again thank you for your expertise ladybaga! i have definitely learned that with H, better not to hesitate!

i think you should buy what you love sjunky! it will still be a different pattern even if the same color schemes... look at me i buy the same design in multiple CWs!

I am! It works for me and I love it and will use it! These things are so damn addicting! LOL. Plus I like new crisp ones. LOL

If you love those colors, I don't think it's overkill to have both designs. If you find yourself wearing one much more than the other, you can always sell the other later. That is probably what would happen to me, but that's a very individual thing. I see many ladies here with similar designs, colors, etc, happily using them in rotation. Echec really seems lovely!

Thanks! I am looking to score it today!

Oh my! This tone-on-tone effect is gorgeous. Reminds me a bit of the stained glass in some colorways of Lumieres. I'm joining the group clamoring for modeling shots!
Oh dear I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that way. If this colorway had a bit of violet/turquoise on it to contrast the details, I would definitely buy two!
for now, buy one...

That came to mind for me too when I saw it. Also, I thought, "this reminds me of Chestnutty with her avatar!" :smile1:
