I think was mention of 2 other Quadrige scarves, one version in a 140 :thinkin: I think I will have to go through this whole thread again.

They are a bit more expensive than the other 90s, I better make my mind soon because with the inevitable Jan price rises I don't want to be slow. I love jacquards (I only have one) and I love Quads (don't have one yet only a wallet with the design) I am praying for a an olive green, a gold or a bronze. OMG, a gold would be incredible, I hope the the gods, particularly Hermes is smiling now.

Totally gorgeous for a man!

Yes, papertiger there was an 140 Dip Dye and Mousseline Stole, both in Quadrige for 2013, I'm excited to see them.

Me too, love the design, but it doesn't love me. Only have it on the wallet too and of course the scarf book. Like the jacquard, but also not me. Think the next season one where it is shrunk down and repeated sounds like it could work better.

Chevaux de Karnak, the GM mousseline, is like this:

The thick border has a graphic triangle print like this ring, all around the border.

The scarf is made up of horse heads and their torsos, jumping up in action. In the center is a square showing 2 horse heads and their torsos, jumping in action, the same as the rest of the scarf. However, the center square is placed on top of the horses underneath it, so only certain parts of the horses underneath are showing because they are blocked by the center square.

The focus is on the elaborate head pieces and the chevron pattern that is repeated in the headdresses. This is a bold print, not timid, not dainty. The horse heads are facing the other direction than what these pictures show.

Ooooh this design sounds beautiful! If only it wasn't a mousseline.... *sigh*

Am liking that perfore!

Do you think the holes could start to fray after a bit?

Hi Icescarf - I think - but I can't be sure - that the 'perforations' are printed on rather than punched through the scarf. Otherwise - as you suspect - the scarf would swiftly turn into a disaster area. I think the colour of the 'perforations' changes as well but I'm reading a lot into a couple of photos.

The PL are still working for me

try this for the clothes whisperer

Sorry about any trouble with the links Chestnutty but I can definitely still see the links. I don't think Hermes would have much influence over the website of individual fashion bloggers, especially as the point of a Press Day is to herald the arrival of the new season's styles.

I believe the scarf with all the wildlife was identified in the Press Day 2013 thread as Equator which is expected to be a summer twill? I'd buy it just for the expression on the sloth's face.

I didn't think the Les Bolides reissue would be for me but at first glance the border of springs looks great and I think would look really interesting tied. And I'm not finished with Autumn/Winter 2012 yet - oh dear!
I think the forum converts these links to "..." instead of full path, hence invalid. Once edited the path to simply home page, they worked fine. Thank you guys.

I know what you mean but the 'perforations' look flat in Peony's last picture which makes me think it's a print. But who knows! Just have to ask the SAs.
Time to stress about it when we see some in the flesh and have to worry about wearability. There should be some new season scarves in favoured places towards mid December. More like the New Year for the rest of us.

I think the Perfore is actually punched, we can see through the color of the silk layer underneath the punch and the shadow:

As a textile designer I am very intrigued by the Perforé... if it is actually punched I am assuming they achieved it by laser. I also wonder if they perforated the fabric before printing or after...

If you search "perforated silk" on Google, you get a Fendi blouse among other things so it is a technique that does exist.

I also assume that fraying is prevented by the fact that the laser melts the silk and fuses the edges of each punched circle...

I'm going to have to add this scarf to my wish list...

The year that Josephine Dance came out--around 5 years ago or so--there was a perforated scarf in plain white at the boutique, just one. It was a novelty, kinda on the order of the "glam" scarves, but not terribly exciting. However, its existence signaled H's interest in experimenting with lasers.

There has been a perforated scarf before - Trous de Memoire - pin holes made by laser issued in 2003 I think.

It is possible that Trous de Memoire is what I saw. My boutique tended to get new merchandise kinda slowly, so if it was issued in 2003, it is reasonable to expect that my boutique would get it in 2005. :graucho:
