One of my most fav gifts from Santa this Christmas. I typically purchase preloved and broken in, but am really appreciating this brand new light vachetta. What is everyone using to prevent stains and to keep it light as long as possible? I've always used Apple Garde but is there anything better anyone can recommend?

I got my mono speedy 25 a few months ago and decided not to treat the vachetta. I use it casually, not babying by any means, and so far so good, no wear and no stains. When I wear it hand held I try to hold the handles with gloves or with the sleeve of my sweater to avoid excessive darkening in one spot as I'd like it to develop an even patina.

Buy many bags and rotate them and choose the bag to use according the weather on that day 😊

I only use Apple Garde and I haven't tried anything else as all I need is to try something I shouldn't have. Lol. If you try something and you get great results please let us know!
I have not used anything on my vachetta leather bags, I felt added stuff may make leather look a bit dull, the non protected vachetta leather ages beautifully, since I have had many vvn bags that were in different stages of aging, they have had a distinctive golden shine

I am somewhat stickler to having my vachetta as close to "new". Years ago I bought a new LV Meelie bag and did not use Apple Garde as I felt me being careful was good enough. NOPE! Just a few days of owning the bag I got water condensation that dripped from my cup onto the beautiful strap! Uugh! So from that point on (I think from 2016) I always use Apple Garde. I changed my top handles on my 2005 Speedy and decided not to spray the handles. That lasted about 1 month lol.
