Dear Speedy bandouliere 30 owners,

Hi!

I need your help! I really want to buy Speedy bandouliere 30 in Damiere Ebene as a “travel” bag . I’ve been researching on internet & youtube and found only two style of bags suiting my need in terms of being light weight i.e. Speedy bandouliere 30 in DE and Prada Tessauto Bomber Nylon bag. Price of both bag are quite similar, but Speedy bandouliere 30 has more leather compare to Prada. In my opinion, Speedy bandouliere 30 in Damier Ebene makes the handbag look elegant and sophisticated compared to Monogram canvas which gives a more of casual look. Also in Monogram Canvas handbags, vachetta leather is extremely delicate and needs lot of care which while travelling is impossible with spillage, getting caught in things etc. Besides, recently (2-4yrs. back) I’ve had bad experience with vachette strap (totally MM in Monogram canvas) and leather strap of Tuilleries hobo which felt very hard and stiff & dug into my shoulders. I’ve also heard that many youtubers and purse forum members saying that they have only one complain about the bag i.e. the strap of Speedy bandouliere 30 in Damiere Ebene digging into their shoulders. I have weak shoulders with tedonitis and hence doctor has asked me to wear light crossbody bags. I have downsized a lot i.e. size of Neverfull MM to Speedy 25. Will the new strap of Speedy bandouliere 30 in Damiere Ebene be very hard and sharp at the edges i.e. the strap will dig into my shoulders, thereby hurting my shoulders,neck and lower back?


I carry the following essentials in my bag i.e. Sarah wallet; iPhone 7 plus; mini pochette(medicines); Long Champ fabric pouch for catchalls i.e. band aids, hair ties,1 lipsticks, 1pen etc; dry facial tissues; wet wipes, 6ring key holder; DE cles pouch (coins) and my reading glasses. Will a Speedy Bandouilere 30 in DE be able to handle all this weight? Can you please suggest anyway to “soften” hand held handles & crossbody strap of Speedy Bandouilere 30? Should I buy a bandouliere strap ($495) seperately or just take Prada nylon bag?


What is your feedback? I really VALUE AND APPRECIATE YOUR ADVICE.

I had my Speedy B 25 for 3 years now, and the strap still hurts especially if I have a bare shoulders. I just put up with it because the 25 is small and it doesn't get heavy, and I really love the bag. But Mautto makes theirs from softer leather in an exact color match, and you can choose how wide and long you'd like it to be! I've yet to order because I think it's a bit pricy for a strap, but I know a lot of ladies on TPF have done it. So if that's the only thing keeping you from ordering, this could be a solution :)

I inspected all corners and every inch of the bag... I’m home and looking at the lock which has some scratches and it looks to be slightly tarnished (you have to really inspect it to even notice) .... I’m bothered by the fact I’m not more bothered by this . I have no use for the lock but for the price I feel like I should have a brand new one .... but again, im not using it anyway. Regardless, I ended up buying the key chain as the statement piece and I LOVE LOVE LOVE how it looks. Thanks for letting me share!

I love that charm with your Speedy DE! The red complements the lining but the pink is so pretty as well. I think I need to add one of these to my shopping list! My Speedy would love it!
