Yes, it's happened to all of my speedys. Someone here recommended using ketchup to bring the shine back, I tried it and it worked for a few weeks, but it started to tarnish again. I pretty much gave up on trying to Polish it lol. I've never had a problem with my alma bb's lock, I've owned it for almost two years and it's still as shiny as the day I bought it. Hope this helps.
Excuse my rant... I never had any problems with my LV bags, they've all held up very well. I just bought a speedy b 25, it was my fault for not inspecting it.. but I can't believe this bag passed qc. The glazing goes over the vachetta on the handles, almost covering the brown trim! I'm also noticing a lot of areas with uneven glazing where it looks darker red in some and light in others. On the bandouliere straps,(vachetta strips on the side) the brown trim is almost non existent/fading. Is anyone else having these issues? I'm going to keep it, thank goodness it's not very noticeable but it's there.

Wow that is exactly what happens with my b25 that i purchase a month ago when i had trip to paris i didnt check the bag carefully because i was in a hurry, messy red glue and almost invisible brown stripes, i would think it was fake if i hadn't bought it myself

I know right? Now I've seen for myself what everyone is talking about when they say the quality of LV has gone down. I don't understand why they haven't fixed the issue with the mismatched hw. Yet I continue to buy them 😕 lol
Oh man.. I was going to try for a monogram since I had issues with my DE one. Ugggg soo disappointing.
I know it is. I pretty much gave up on having a "perfect" bag 😕. I also had problems with my de speedy b. It started cracking at the top of my bag, the sa said it's because I probably keep my bag unzipped, she advised me to always keep my bag zipped up to avoid that problem😞 she exchanged it for me, after 11 mths of use.

It was the 30. Thanks, im glad too. So far my replacement is perfect, I've learned to inspect my bag once in a while, I found the pic of the splitting coming from the stitch. It started from the stitching, I wanted to roll my eyes when the sales assoc said it's because I kept my bag unzipped. Lol. I think the Sales assoc are trained to say bogus things just to cover up the decline in their quality. 😕
