Thank you all for responding 😊. Yes I do find the shape holds better when handheld or on the shoulder with the shorter strap. Sounds like the base shaper is the solution. Might make a DIY one first to test the waters. Thanks again for all your answers 😘

AAxxx: Wanted to show you what the Speedy 25 looks like with a bag shaper and 12mm optional strap-
Please excuse my lousy picture taking skills, I know I am deficient in this area but think you'll get the gist of what the shaper does for this bag-2 pics one arm held and the other shoulder. ( I took these shots in my bedroom so light is kind of blurry, etc, but you can see bag shape which is all that is important.)

pjhm you're soo sweet!!! Thank you for this. Your speedy looks amazing on you!! Somehow it looks bigger as well. I really need to find myself a base shaper. Do you worry that the edges of the base shaper can damage the lining? I think I read about this somewhere...

The bag shaper is covered in leather, so I am not concerned. But, to tell you the truth, I won't carry the purse without the shaper in it, so if there is any risk, I am comfortable taking it.
You might be able to make a shaper yourself if you can get your hands on cardboard and leather. It just sits on the bottom of the bag, and may have cost a little less then $25 and arrived within 3 days.

With Speedy B 35 DE... It is a roomy and great bag, excellent for working... I was worried when bought it, because of the quality issues related here, but for now she is great.

I went to my local store and asked for a dustbag and was told they'd only give one for a vachetta strap. The SA told me I could try calling LV or open a chat session online with an advisor to see if they'd be able to approve sending me one. I did have luck with the rep I spoke to thru chat but I think it is pretty silly they don't ship one as a standard, regardless of the finish, to protect the strap.

I have 3 bags and they all have a detachable strap (Speedy B mono & DE and Delightful with keepall strap) they've always given me an extra dustbag to carry the straps. Just ask or maybe go in and try asking a different SA?

ladies, my speedy b 35 Zip isn't straight.
I have stuffed it full with acid free paper but the zip is still like that. I bought it last month but haven't used it yet.

the creases @ the canvas has evened out. it's just the wavy zip issue.

please tell me if this is normal?
