Hmmm... no experience with this seller, but how important to you is it that your jade is grade A untreated jadeite? Some of the seller's other listings say grade A jade, but the prices don't match the quality for color/translucency. I would probably pass on many of this seller's items.

For the bangle you linked, nothing really jumps out at me but the inaccuracy of the other listings is a potential red flag. I'm also worried by the "no returns/exchange" policy. Better sellers will accept returns/exchanges.

The color will probably be closer to the picture on the certificate. Color can also be boosted by the use of color polish, which is added to the wax, but is not permanent. The last picture shows many stone lines - I would ask if any are surface reaching or can be felt with a fingernail. If they are healed, the bangle could be strong, but ask how sturdy it is.

If you don't mind treated jade or are okay with keeping a bangle that might not fit, then as always, caveat emptor.

Hi, I usually buy from buyers that are said to be reputable sellers from this forum. BUT I got a bangle from a seller that I had never heard from !!! I wear size 50mm which is hard to find, and sometimes a bangle sells before I have time to decide ….I looked at his other bangles and it look fine. Can I have you opinion on my bangle please??? I’m worried, I never had such a nice green, but I’m worried it’s too nice to be true . The bangle feels extremely soft, not rough patches or lines felt with nail, it feels just like my expensive bangle from Baikala.I toke the pictures by the window to see the colour well. Here is the seller https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/142...how_sold_out_detail=1&ref=nla_listing_details

Hello fellow members. Hope your weekend has been serene. I picked this pendant up from a thrift store. The mounting is 18kt. Does it look treated on your eyes? This colour does make me feel a bit nervous. Many thanks in advance for your input.

It kinda does. The treated jade has almost a cotton candy structure inside of it, and I am seeing hints of it. You should look at it with a light and a loupe.
Many thanks for your honest feedback, I greatly appreciate it. By the way, just thought I would ask, does anyone have experience with the following 2 sellers?

1/ Merinda Jewelry (US based); I think the owner is a lady called Heng Hong

2/ NewAge FSG (Singapore based)

The bangle looks untreated in my eyes... Lots of irregularities and variation of the green streaks. So pretty.

Agree with the others. It is possibly treated. Did you get a good deal for it?

Alright, mats_alice (eBay) update for 2022! I bought two bangles from Alice. They shipped very quickly and arrived well-packaged and secure. These are my first bangles, and I was sure I'd have to return them for a larger size (turned out not to be the case), and Alice was very kind and willing to accommodate me. Alice is very upfront about natural flaws and includes many photos of the bangles to show as much detail as possible. I found the pieces to be very accurate to their photos and descriptions (of course, they look even better in person), and the pricing was very fair in my newbie opinion.

In summary, I'd confidently recommend mats_alice as a source of affordable jade advertised with honesty regarding flaws and qualities.
Could someone explain to me why her bangles are like 10 times cheaper then other shops on Etsy? Seems to be much cheaper then the average of the market, especially she is based in the US.
