I just used Xcover on TRR for a bag that was a superfake. It was a Prada Galleria.
First, I want to say that I am SO grateful I got XCover because the bag was not cheap as it was supposedly a genuine croc Prada Galleria.
I immediately knew the bag was a fake when it arrived because the triangle logo was missing on the bag. Every galleria has a triangle logo on the side or the top center depending on the year it was made. I bought the bag assuming it would be located on the side because I could not see it in the photos. I purposefully bought it with the intention that it might be a fake and I'll return if the case. I was hoping it would be real though
Now, I LOVE that they started some sort of return option. However, XCover is not the answer. The premium I have to pay for a return eligibility should not be an added cost but instead should my FREE right for peace of mind as a consumer of the company.
My experience was...weird and I do not recommend it. I got the return label and sent it back via USPS immediately. On the day of the delivery, the tracking suddenly updated to "Delivery attempted: business closed. Will reattempt next business day. No action required."
Y'all...when I tell you I PANICKED! I was freaking out. I immediately emailed XCover (they don't have a phone number which is horrible). and their customer service team is THE WORST I have ever dealt with...I emailed them every day for almost 7 days until this past tuesday (8 days after delivery was attempted) and I STILL have not heard back. However, on Tuesday, my package was mysteriously "picked up" from the post office and within 2-3 hours my return was approved and I was able to put in my bank details and get my refund. I was also reaching out to The Real Real customer service team consistently throughout this time as well and they were also contacting XCover for me on their behalf. TRR was kinda useless though to be honest.
Overall...its pretty shady and their customer service team is the worst I've experienced...and I work in customer service operations so I feel like I know a thing or two about CS lol.
I've learned my lesson...never again. Better off shopping from other sites.
