Hoping to get people’s thoughts on the longevity of the Pouch style? I bought a blue one in the large size some time back, but because I found the colour hard to work with, sold it on. Now I do find myself coveting the smooth calfskin one but in a deep dark chocolate brown, but I can’t tell if perhaps this bag was “trendy” and if it will be another regret later? Do people think the silhouette will date?

I loved the colors of the bags. At one point, I have 3 of the large ones. One rust color, smooth leather. One woven in a tomato red and one gold shiny leather. I love the look. The quality was impeccable but they are a pain to use. Not practical. No handle, no where to put them. I sold all 3. Occasionally have pangs of regret but not enough to buy them again

Yes I think that was also part of the reason why I sold my blue one, it was such a pain to carry around, but every now and then I remember just how elegant and insouciant it looked squashed under the arm that I almost feel like it’s worth the agony of using it haha!

I think it's out of trend but Pouch design is very minimalistic, so it doesn't look dated. I think it's a classic bag that will always look stylish (as opposed to trendy). I have a mini pouch because I can't handle a bag without a strap. Recently I was contemplating to get one more in a different color, but decided not to. I still love mine and use it, but not enough to get multiples. I have a feeling that if you sold yours you didn't love it enough and there's no point to get another one. On the other hand there are so many of them on sale now in various colors, that you can get one and sell it again if you regret the purchase without losing a lot of money.

I don’t think it’s trendy anymore, and I plan to carry mine for years to come. The only issue with it is having to hand carry it. I love a good hand carry bag, so it works for me, but people who only carry crossbody bags or shoulder bags might end up finding that they don’t like/won’t use the Pouch.

Your point about sale prices, especially in colors, is very accurate. Prices have been coming down a lot lately, and i just purchased one for a great price, plus extra 10% off in fashionphiles current sale. Its my second attempt - i purchased and returned one in the past. This one is a pretty bright blue which will be a wonderful pop of color in summer months. The sale on sale ends tomro, and you can pick up colored ones (non neutrals) - for some great prices.

Agree with you also that the pouch is classic. I ignore trends anyway :)
Clutches are always so stylish!

I think the lack of hardware and luscious leather make The Pouch a good long term style. I own two minis, and two full size. I probably use the minis more. They are great pop of color bags. My larger ones are Nero and Raintree. I carry the Nero more often, but when I carry Raintree, ooh it is gorgeous.

I'm late to the party but have eyed it since it came out and almost bought one in the smooth leather and decided against it but just recently bought a large woven one in black. I haven't worn it yet but love the look. I paid about half of retail. I also have a mini pouch in a bright color. I mostly carry hand held bags so hoping it will work.

Hi all! Just got a smooth leather regular sized pouch at Saks in Toronto a few days ago. The price was fantastic – approx. $1600 CAD + tax. I agree with most others on here in terms of challenges with use, but if you've wanted it for a long time (such as myself) but didn't want to pay $4300+ for it or get it pre-loved... now is the time!

Fabulous price @xsunnyd. What colour did you get and do you know what colours they still have available for sale?

I think that it is a timeless style. I bought three large ones in the smooth leather in the last two years and the second hand prices now are amazing, I got them all between 550€ and 800€ (lavender, black and bright blue). I would not have picked them up for the original retail price of 2.900€, but at the current pre-loved prices, it makes total sense to me, they are a great staple and can be dressed up and down.

Thank-you! I actually ended up purchasing the caramel one in intrecciato leather preloved, and it’s gorgeous. I don’t use it extremely frequently because it is a clutch only, but when I know I won’t need to walk about with it for a long time, I do carry it because it’s just such an elegant silhouette.
