Btw I have seen very very petite ladies who could not really pull this boxy style of a bag off! (I don‘t mean to offend anyone- just a random subjective impression!! ) I also like my Crossbody bags a little higher (prevent jeans transfer and have better access and its not in my way so much)
I’d say: rock it!

Hi!
Here's my first ever Pochette Metis - still can't believe I was able to snag it (I live in Russia and PM monogram and reverse are always out of stock here). On March 27 this beauty was available (wouldn't be surprised if it was the first and the last one on the site :biggrin:), so I ordered it and here it is! (made in France, DU0260)
I ordered a mono strap (14 mm) to go with the bag (the original one is in cream color - not a fan)
But what really bothers me is the hardware - the bag came without any hardware protectors and it is already scratched a bit. Not that I'm super concerned about scratches - they'd eventually appear, but still it's so strange there weren't any protectors. Is it the usual thing?

So here is the PM in mono that I just received today. It's my second one, after returning the first one that had a couple of issues (that LV didn't care about when I contacted them).

This still has a few things that I'm concern about. Overall, it's better than my previous one.

- The flap has a lot of air bubbles, which is also noticeable when the bag is closed (but only on the inside).
- Canvas is slightly off. Like the lock is a bit to the right and the flap is a bit to the left. Also, a total mismatch with the pattern at the bottom, but luckily that's not as noticeable ^^ The canvas was peeeeerfect on my previous one, so I'm sad that I has to return that one.
- The two clasps on the shoulder strap seem to be of different types. Their colour is totally different and it's very noticeable in person.

Do your PM's have air bubbles?
Has anyone managed to get a replacement for only the shoulder strap?

I think this PM is very close to perfection! Could you make a picture of the sides? :) I would be able to live with the slight color difference of the clasps, just because they won't be touching. But I can imagine you wanting to return just the strap. I don't know if that's possible but I wouldn't return the entire bag because I think it's beautiful! :)

I was able to swap straps on mine. They ordered a replacement strap and when it came in, I swapped straps.

I'm glad to hear! Will contact LV about it. But it's still a bit weird with air bubbles in the lid, right? I mean, not only where the handle is attached, but also on the lid that's at the front of the bag when it's closed. And it's not just bumps, the canvas is separated on the bottom and top level (with air in between). Just so this doesn't affect the longevity of the bag, making the canvas more fragile. Hmm. Yup, I'm picky

I don't think you will find one without "air bubbles" as you put it. Maybe this bag is not for you? There is going to be one small thing or another with every bag from every brand though. You have to decide if it is something you can deal with or just let it go and love your bag. :)
