It’s probably a bit difficult to see in this photo, but the plating on the two knobs is already wearing badly, revealing a grey metal underneath. I’ve used the bag on and off for about three weeks (the protective stickers haven’t even fallen off yet!). Super disappointed that I already need a repair so quickly on this bag. I’ve definitely been babying this bag (I usually don’t with canvas items, but I was paranoid about having such a large piece of hardware right on the front of the bag), and I’ve been extremely protective of the lock, not letting it bump or scrape against anything, even to the point of cupping my hand over it when I wear the bag over my shoulder; so this is entirely from my opening and closing the bag. And no, I haven’t been wearing hand lotions lately or anything that may have caused or worsened the issue; I usually do around this time of year, but it’s been a mild January, so my skin hasn’t been very dry lately. I have no other issues with the bag, but I know this repair will mean waiting for several weeks. I generally don’t care about keeping my bags in pristine condition (I use them, and I don’t mind that they reflect this fact), but such unsightly plating wear so quickly?

Is it plating wear or dirt that has gotten caught under the protective sticker?

Nevermind, just saw you said on the knobs. Can see it a little on the right. I’d take it into the store.

Out of curiosity ... how do you store your Pm? In the box? In the dust bag? Box/dust bag combo? Handle detached and inside the bag? Attached to the outside of the bag? Airpaper stuffing? Snapped closed? Left loose?
Any advice on how to keep it pristine when storing? Thanks!!!

I was a lucky browser right after Christmas and lucked upon a pochette metis at the LV site. But I'm wondering about the lock. When I push the button in, the clasp doesn't just pop out, I have to actually pull on it a bit. Is that normal? If not, want to take into the store, TIA for any info.

My lock sometimes gets stuck but not as much anymore as when I first started using it. When I say stuck it didnt even "pop".

After about 2 months of having it, it doesnt get as stuck anymore but i do still have to give some additional lift after the initial pop. But thats ok with me since i dont want my bag to open unintentionally

While my cousin was visiting Sydney, Australia from her hometown of New Zealand, I jokingly asked her to find me a Pochette Metis if she makes it to LV. It's been obviously sold out everywhere. Lo and behold, she called me while in the LV store in Sydney and they had only one that had just arrived in. The store is 915km (570 miles) from me (my two stores, Brisbane & Gold Coast are sold out), and since its a coveted style, they will only allow purchase while instore. My amazing cousin, being the designer buyer she is, looked over it to make sure it was all perfect and offered to buy it for me. The lovely staff are organising the courier to my door as I type. Now just the long wait for my Samorga to arrive until i can use it. Happy early birthday to me! o

I just caught a Mono Reverse PM this morning around 0630 EST. I was on the website trying to see what the status was of my second and third monogram PMs, when I refreshed the page for reverse and it came up ATB! Couldn't resist. It's definitely redundant to own both mono and reverse, but we'll see how each one grabs me. I've not had the best luck with this bag so far.

Thanks for the reply. I might still take it in for them to look at if I'm down in City Center. I am using it a lot and don't want to be without it.

After stalking the Pochette Metis for a long time and debating which to get I finally decided on the Noir Empreinte. I love the elegance of it and the fact that it’s so light and versatile.
This was ordered for me from a new batch and I have to say the leather is soft and looks really luxe. My SA is also so good at checking the bags when they come in and only selling pieces that are properly made. Love it!

I just ordered the same bag. cant wait to see it.

I have the samorga liners inside each section. I remove the strap and place in the front section and I place two air packets in the back section. I then close it and store in its dust bag on a shelf.

Hi!

I ended up returning it and they never got back to me. I ordered 2 more. I had the little hump and 1 didn’t but it had a big crease on the front of the flap. I think I’m keeping the one with the little hump.
