I was lucky enough to have managed to order both the mono and the reverse.. I couldn't decide which one I loved more... but I can't keep both Anyone else have both? If so which one do you find yourself reaching for more?

I am still thinking what to respond to your question, so I check for an inspiration Fashionphile website and I found !18! PM in Reverse, 11 in Infrarouge and !0! in Mono. That might speak for itself... Reverse is definitely unique, but it might become only a fashionable item for season or two...Mono is on the market for more than 4 years and the demand is still high (wait list, permanently sold out, etc.) ...it is interesting that these limited editions (Reverse and Infrarouge) have tendency to last less (in buyers closets) even though they are unique and special...I do not know whether I answered your question or helped with your dilemma, but this is something worth to think about. I would personally sell Reverse. It is harder to combine with the outfit, Mono to me is a classic item, great for summer when we carry less than normal. What do you think?

Great answer! The Reverse is a gorgeous bag but I would keep the Mono too.

I debated both for lasting style and use. I feel the reserve is just as versatile and easy to combine with any outfit the mono can since the colors are the same (just add black [emoji4]). I also feel it will last as long as a mono would for style, a classic
I have a ton of regular mono items so for me it also was having something that wasn't just mono

Did you look at what Fashionphile is charging for the Reverse and Infrarouge? Perhaps that is why they have so many! They also have a 2nd edition mono right now for $1950. I guess I got lucky when I snagged my 3rd edition mono for a little under retail.

Yes, of course I did look. The selling price is an different issue, but why do they have so many? Why so many people want to get rid of the reverse and infrarouge? That is the question I pointed out. I do not have an answer, that has to be left for the folks who do not like the item any more...Fashionphile is only taking advantage of the demand, what is a very smart and understandable move, btw. (Or the sellers are asking for too much, Yoogi's Closet sold only 2 PM Reverse for example, that is also very interesting - probably they do not offer high buy out price, so all of them end up at Fashionphile...I have no clue.) Older editions go always under the retail price, because they were used for 2-3 years, that make sense. To be very honest I would not buy 2-3 year old used bag for a retail price, but that it my preference, no offense...and at the same time I totally understand that to be constantly logged on LV website is not a fun! Some of the used bags are truly great deals! Anyhow...I have both because I love both, I find both very different and unique, but it is interesting to watch and follow the market - LV and "preloved" at the same time.

It is personal taste, if you want something you won't see many around, then seasonal bag is good, but if you want a bag that classic, then go for permanent line.
I sold the mono for reverse because I hate run into the same bag every where, also reverse look better to my eyes.
At the end of the day, both functional the same.

I'd say they have so many because the price and the condition of them. 1950 for a bad that has peeling and scraps and so on. Ridiculous!

I agree, but honestly what is the difference between Fashionphile and LV regarding quality/ethics? LV produced these defective bags, Fashionphile is taking advantage of the demand...the only one who is truly affected is: customer = all of us. Pushing us to buy and keep defective bags for a ridiculous price. Anyway...it is truly a matter of personal taste, preference, fashion style and I would say a season also plays an important role. I bet PM reverse will be more popular during fall/winter season.

Ladies...thoughts. The glazing is prone to wear at the top of flap....so trying to find a way to protect it ...tacky or cute?

What an idea! I am totally sold! So, I started to play with my bags...(today is a lazy day after weeks, yay!) I have to try reverse version as well. I honestly think this way the bag is more feminine, it is cute, I really like it! What do you think?

My point was that perhaps they have so many due to the high prices they are charging, and no one is buying. The Reverse's retail price is not even $100 more than the mono, yet Fashionphile's prices are hundreds of dollars more. I understand what you are saying about why do they have so many. I gave a possible answer that is other than the reverse and infrarouge are more dated looking. Either is possible.

I take no offense at your comment about buying a used bag at retail price. I will tell you why I did. This bag is difficult to get from LV. When you order from LV you get the bag sight unseen. It may well have been used a few times before being returned by someone else. It then goes out again, same thing before being returned again. We've seen two people on this post receive a reverse with incorrect leather on the handle, same bag? Perhaps. Others have returned bags with which they were unhappy with the canvas alignment. People are ordering two at a time in order to choose the one they prefer, and send the other back.

With the one I purchased I saw photos of it. Granted not from every single angle, but I could return it if I was not happy. I saw the alignment. Flaws were disclosed, flaws that other than scratches on the S-lock I can barely see. I knew when it was made. I saved some money off the retail price. For me, it made sense, For others, perhaps not.

I actually see it a different way. I believe people know how popular and coveted the reverse and infrarouge are right now, so they buy bags with the intent to sell them and make a profit. I don't think availability on fashionphile speaks to which is more timeless.

Hm...I personally would not use Fashionphile for reselling my bag and making a profit, because you simply do not make a profit with them...I will sell on eBay or Tradesy...as a first owner I have the receipt and packaging, resellers go on eBay, usually (check how many Supreme LV items are there for ridiculius prices). I do not see so many resellers of Reverse on eBay...moreover you have to deal with authenticity questions...people are usually lazy to spend time creating the listing, answering questions from prospective buyers and gathering positive feedback from business. Fashionphile is easy way how to get the money...in my honest opinion. But I see your point and I bet some folks made the decision to go there for the reason you mentioned.
