It seems like the 3 main issues people have with this bag are alignment, glazing and sagging. My MIU does have some slight alignment issues but I want the bag badly enough that I will accept them. Can people please explain what they mean by glazing and sagging? The black glazing around mine is thick and the bag sags in the middle but I think that's normal right?
i think the sagging is more about the empreinte version, since the leather will soften over time that'll lead to some deformation. the canvas versions do have that natural sag-like bottom so it's normal to see a slight bulge. the glazing was mainly an issue on prior models, where the thick black stuff you see around the bag would chip or crack for no reason. hopefully that issue has been fixed though.

Thank you!
This made me laugh out loud. lol Love this! Also, thanks, for your honesty; sounds like you have an awesome DH.

It's understandable to have preferences, but at the end of the day...I just want a beautiful bag in the best possible condition. I use to be particular, and preferred MIF too, now not so much, as I am finding it's not about the location. And, you're right, no one will ever know, where the bag is made, unless you tell them. lol

I haven't seen the Gucci Garden, will have to check it out. I have seen the Leopard bandeau though, and it is gorgeous, and compliments the Mono PM really well. But, I'm sure you couldn't go wrong with either. Enjoy your beauty!

Love your posts too!

Believe me, I was driving my husband crazy with the MIF/MII thing! But as you stated, unless some nut opens your bag at random or you tell someone, no one will know where it's made.

I'm going to have a look at the Gucci scarf today or tomorrow. I'll see if I can upload a photo. It's super pretty.

This is not the issue. I love my MIU PM Reverse, I do not care whether it is MIF or MIU, I care about the quality. So, it is not about the "label MIF" or "MIU", it is about the quality MIF or MIU. But we came to a conclusion that no matter where the bag was made, the quality goes down anyway. I was previously told by more than one SA that MIF bags or products in general are known for higher quality, but based on testimonies from many of you it is obviously not that case.

On the other hand I had to order 3 bags, week after week to find the best one from all, that is not a standard, right? IMHO.

Yes. Agreed and I understand what you're saying. I think no matter WHERE an LV is made, it should be PERFECT. That's what we are all paying for. For me to have to thoroughly inspect an LV bag (or any high-end luxury brand bag) is ridiculous in my opinion.

I'm very happy that you are finally pleased with your PM and you're right, ordering 3 bags to get a perfect one, is definitely NOT the norm.

The last really great LV bags I bought were The Manhattan GM and Tulum GM and those were about 10 or 11 years ago. The quality back then was great imo.

But since then every single bag I have bought from LV in the last 7 years was MIF and had serious issues to the point of being given new bags or credits. I ended up rehoming a couple as well... so I took a break from LV for a couple of years and dipped my toe into Hermes.

That said, this particular style is the first to have enticed me enough to consider LV again. Mine is MIU from 2016 and so far it's flawless.
I adored my Manhattan gm (sold her), and still loving my Tulum gm. Everytime I wear her, I get compliments. [emoji106]

I ordered mine yesterday on the german website. But it looks like they put two bags online a day, because yesterday it was sold out pretty quickly and today they where available in mono and reverse again and sold out ones you put two in your basquet.

I think you are right! I saw on US site yesterday 2 reverse and then they were gone! Hoping someone on here snagged them! They release them in pairs maybe?

Thank you! Your post made my day! :) Yes, I am truly very happy with my PM Reverse, My bags are finally THE SAME quality. Some gals claimed that I got a sag on my new PM Reverse. The canvas is so soft, comparing with my 9 MO old PM Mono. They probably changed the canvas again...Triangle Softy would not be so flexible and cozy without softening the canvas...I compared my 4 years old Artsy in Mono with Triangle Softy and the canvas is very different. The same with PM Mono and PM Reverse. It has to be the change of canvas, not the quality. And I have noticed that over some time the canvas hardens, is aging and unfortunately gets cracks, maybe another reason to soften the canvas to avoid this defects...Wewill see! Thank you again! :)

Interesting that you say that, I notice one(maybe 2?) pop up on the UK site every day. I've been hesitating on ordering thinking that they may be returns. Going to order tomorrow if I'm lucky enough to spot one now

Hi Guys,

Heres a screenshot of my IG pic of my reverse monogram LV Metis and I am just loving it! I use it a lot for when I travel. Will let you know if I have any problems, I got mine about three months ago now.View attachment 3739295

Your photo is GORGEOUS! Good to hear everything is going well with your Reverse Metis! Hopefully, no problems will arise in the future. Thanks, for sharing!

I absolutely 100% agree. Thanks, for sharing your experiences. I really appreciate it, especially when you constantly hear how inferior MIU bags are. It is so good to hear you/other members have flawless bags, and haven't encountered any problems with your MIU PM(s).

This style is definitely enticing for sure.lol I find myself wanting a Reverse now! Crazy. I am currently on the waitlist for the Empreinte Rose Poudre. It's a seasonal color, so I don't know if I will actually be able to get a hold of one, but I sure hope so.

All this MIF vs MIU is making me chuckle. We sure are passionate about our bags.

I bought my mono PM in Germany. When I finally got the call to pick up my bag, they actually had 2 in the store, one was MIF, one was MII.

I ended up getting the MII. It was perfect. The MIF was slightly misaligned. It also had a minor glazing defect.

But in my heart of heart, I will admit I would've gotten the MII even if the MIF was also perfect. I like that MII bags seem to be more rare.

But anyway, I agree it all comes down to each individual bag. MIF doesn't automatically mean a superior product, unfortunately.

LOL. love it!

Yes, we are very passionate about our bags. So true. lol

As for MII, it is super rare; I would have snagged that one too!

Love your posts too!

Yes, please upload a pic, when you have a chance; would love to see it on your PM.

Thank you so much @Exquisite_Iam you are so sweet to say

My Metis is a Made In France one and promise to keep you all posted on my journey with it and hope i don't run into any problems as well. It's great that we can all share and help each other out in here.

Also if anyone is based in the Middle East, I had approx a 7-10 day wait for my reverse monogram in Dubai. I was actually in the Dubai Mall last night and I saw the pink and red versions in stock if anyone is looking.

Apologies @Exquisite_Iam I have mucked up the quoting, I am still a bit of a noob at all this

I'll just put my message here to you if that's ok.....

Thank you so much @Exquisite_Iam you are so sweet to say
