I have been waiting for the PM in empriente leather in the nior color. I was shopping yesterday in Macys and saw this lady with the bag. I noticed right away that the flap was caved in and did not like the way it looked. I thought maybe she did not have much in the bag or that the sunken flap needed to be pushed back into shape. I thought to look on this site and saw two bags with the sunken in flap. Is this an issue and does it sink in and does it actually fill back in by pushing the flap back out from under the flap. It seems like it may pull from carrying the handle. I need your thoughts on this bag and is this a problem. Thanks for your help.

I found that if I fill it up too much and pick it up by the handle, it would cave in at the top as leather is soft. Not a problem though if not overstuffed.

It will pop back out. I don't think it's a problem. Afterall it is leather, not stiff canvas.

I actually had received one this week and the closure was stuck and I couldn't get that darn thing to open. I sent it back to saks and should have a replacement soon. Thanks again : )

I found mine caved in just slightly so now what I do is to carry my iPad mini in the front compartment with a little something behind the iPad, and the larger items in the middle compartment and then the flap looks fine. I know its silly that we have to find little work arounds for our bags. They need women to test out their designs before production begins, I volunteer to help them, lol

it's leather, soft leather. and it'll deform over time, you have to be ok with that. it might even 'sink' in other areas depending on how you use and wear it. if you want it to remain stiff and not soften, select a canvas version.
