I got mine last week and it is made in France. They had one that had come in that morning. I got it from the Louis Vuitton in Northbrook IL. Alex is great! He's new but a real sweetheart! I think I got lucky but you never know!

Thanks for your response! I really appreciate it. Do you happen to have his LV email or store phone number? If you don't mind, could you please DM it to me? --- My last call was to a store in Michigan and the SA got really upset when I asked if they had a piece made in France. She said: "You should go to France or Asia to get one". Ridiculous!

Same thing happened to my PM. I recently had it repaired by LV, though they intially tried to charge me for the repair (they did waive the fee after I mentioned that I had owned the bag for less than a year and it was otherwise in excellent condition, thus demonstrating that the cracking was the result of a design flaw rather than ordinary wear and tear). It looks great post-repair, but I have a feeling it will crack again, since this seems to be an area of the bag that is particularly vulnerable. I have decided to sell my PM because I don't want to worry about my bag falling apart in a year or two. It's unfortunate, since I really love this bag.

That's good to know they waived the fee. For as much as the bag costs you would think this wouldn't happen. I've had mine since January so it's not even a year old. I love this bag...

I'm sorry to hear about the cracking on your bag! Have you taken it to the boutique for reglazing? I had an issue with my speedy b de, I had it for about 10mths until I noticed a split in the canvas! I called my sa and sent pics, she told me to bring it in, I didn't know what to expect, but luckily she got a replacement for me on the spot. 1470961407119.jpg

I live 6 hours away from a boutique. I'll probably have to send it in to a boutique. The strap has already been replaced because the clasp fell apart. So frustrating.

Hi, I saw the blk dot. I would bring it back to see if it is removable. If it is not, I believe they can find you a replacement. I wouldn't settle for it as this dot is right in the face of the bag. Sorry
