I just found this blog and just got on this thread... I wanted a PM but I kept putting it off. I didn't know that they were thinking of discontinuing it but when I heard I called LV and the SA at customer service told me that there were no PM available and there was a waiting list... She then said she didn't think they were going to make anymore. I was crushed!!! I had the bag TWICE in my hands and I was kicking myself for not purchasing it. To make a long story short I ended up buying the PM first model for $1950. My first pre loved bag. It had a small water spot and the vachette had patina. A week after I received it I heard that they were in production again. I LOVE my PM. I LOVE it! I even love that it's the first model but I can't help feel like I should have waited to get a new one. Has anyone else ever gone through this? Any thoughts?

Hello to all!
I have been reading all the different PM posts for a little while now and thought I would share my PM journey with you, especially for those in Australia :)

I'm a bit behind the 'craze' but I saw the bag in January this year and decided I wanted one. Not knowing about the waitlist, my Sisters and I planned our trip to the George st, Sydney store for March 12th (when we were all available to go). When we went in, I was then told about the waitlist and so disappointed in myself for not enquiry of the availability earlier!

I went home disappointed but ended up calling the CS line and asked for my name to be added to the waitlist. I was told I couldn't be added to the Sydney store waitlist as it was now 'closed'. My options were to be put on the waitlist at either 'the Rocks' or 'Bondi Junction' stores - I choose The Rocks store. I was also told an approx wait time of 3 months!

Because I was impatient, I also emailed customer service about a week after to see what number on the list I was and also the approx. wait time. I received a reply a few days later saying they weren't able to tell me what number I was on the waitlist but that LV told all customers it would be a minimum wait of 6 months! I was so sad I was going to have to wait this long!

BUT just last night I got a text message from the LV Rocks store saying my bag had arrived today and I have 2 days to come and pick it up. I couldn't believe I was told 3 month and 6 month waits to then only waitinch a few weeks! I went into the store just now and picked it up! It Is Worth The Wait!!!! (short as it was!) It is gorgeous! 😍😍

Also, the customer service at the rocks store was superb - any ladies in Sydney wanting help, I would recommend contacting this store!

Good Luck PM friends!

I too bought the original model. I've always wanted it since the original features are on the bag and the canvas is a bit firmer than the newer models. LV took away a few features and increased the price which is crappy on them for doing that. I thought about getting the new model but I just couldn't get the extra pocket and vachetta strip on the zipper pull out of my head. I luckily stumbled across a like new one with light vachetta for $1,150! I just couldn't believe the price for a practically new one. I am so in love with the old model and am glad that I stuck to searching for one rather than settle for the new style. I do notice in some photos on IG that the newer models are sometimes oddly shaped. I personally like a more structured bag so I'm happy with the stiffer canvas.

Great job on finding that price!! Unfortunately I got a little too impatient (obsessed) and snatched the best one/price at the time (Jan 2016). Oh well, I have her in my hands and it was meant to be LOL! I too think I prefer the older model than the newer. I love my Pochette Metis sooo much!!

Exactly! And to see what the mark-up would have been had I sold to them makes me annoyed a little. Luckily, I got over it quickly. FP seems like a great place to unload items quickly, but I don't see how people can constantly buy/sell so much. Even with LV supposedly holding its value better than some other designers that's leaving way to much money on the table.

Idk if its just me seeing the prices but sometimes they're only $5 less than the retail too! I know that every consignment company has to somehow make enough profit to stay open but to give people low quotes and then sell it at near to over the retail price is crazy.

I have been waiting for just more than one month. The online store called me today that the bag is ready for me. Therefore, they are going to post it to me as there is no store in Canberra. I think the Australia is getting the new stock now. Happy!

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement! I'm sure we could all use this!

I put myself on the waiting list, 1-800-Vuitton since I really don't have a regular SA. I don't buy that often. I was told that my wait time will be at least 4 weeks since there are "quite a few" clients ahead of me. I was going to purchase a Neverfull MM but decided to hold off on that and get the Pochette Metis, just in case LV decides to end production soon. The Neverfull is not going anywhere, so I can get it later but the PM waitlist is growing and I saw the crazy prices on FP and eBay.
Hopefully, I will be able to get one.

Background, I loved this bag since it came out but since I am only able to purchase one bag/ year, there were more pressing bags/items ahead on my wish list.
