It really stresses me out to buy it without ever seeing one in person! I've been going back and forth between the PM and SpeedyB30 in DE for an all weather bag...I currently have SpeedyB30 in Monogram. I like the shape of the PM and I don't carry a ton so it could definitely work and would be different...tough call for me
I'm glad your PM arrived. I live in Hawaii too and was just in the AMC store yesterday. The SA I spoke to said it's been a long time since they've had a PM in the store and she thinks the in-store wait list has around 20 names. She inferred that it would take a long time to get one. I called customer service earlier this month to put my name on the wait list (I was told it's about a 6 week wait) but I'd rather pick it up in the store because of the price difference.
Aloha Kawaii Belle, Just left the store today, yes I counted the days its like 40days until today.. Maria my new SA is really sweet, something went wrong with the waitlist previously, I was removed from the list, and she sorted me out, didnt deal with the previous SAs (previous SA gave me the mean look when I tried it on with Maria),
Anyways The bag date code said Its made the 6th week of 2016 (2 weeks before today's date). I was in love with it, tried it on an hour in the store with my SLGs and finally made my decision.
I have been stalking the Canadian website and today it was available for purchase. So with my heart throbbing and credit card in fist (just kidding - I have those numbers memorized!), I quickly placed an order for it. I have never tried it on but I have seen it on a stranger and viewed many many YouTube reviews. Once I receive the bag, I'll know if I made the right choice.
So glad you decided to purchase the PM! I can't wait to receive mine. Thanks for letting me know about your new SA Maria. The SA who helped me purchase a key pouch yesterday wasn't friendly. I'm thinking of going back to the store to get a Neverfull MM in the near future.
I live in Honolulu too and the AMC LV is known for some of their unfriendly SA. A few weeks ago, I popped in wearing my PM and I could not shake this one SA away from me....I guess it depends on the day you go in and if you're rocking a Louis. I've always had a nice experience at the Waikiki LV.
I hope you get one soon. I just got mine and plan on traveling with it for the first time to your neck of the woods in Broomfield, CO for work. I've never been to the LV there, but I'm curious to visit the Cherry Creek store.

No idea, but I had always wanted the vintage Monceau and then saw it on a few people while traveling in Italy at the end of 2014. So I guess the craze started earlier than 2015?
A small side section on the strap on my Pochette Metis melted 2 months ago. I got it on Jan 2015. It's always been stored in the dustbag and I took care to place the strap inside the bag so there is no way anything else might have squashed it. It is also seldom used. Am feeling slightly disappointed that this happened to a relatively new bag!
