Looks normal to me - for an untreated vacchetta edge (red is a kind of color, and not a real glazing). I have seen the same on the handles of my mono NF, for instance.
I wouldn't worry about this. It's not glazing there, only painted

Hi Everyone! I need a little advice. I just got my Empreinte Pochette Metis about 2 and a half months ago and I’ve been carrying her very frequently over the course of that time. I adore the bag and I’ve had absolutely no issues so far. As a matter of fact, it has become one of my favorite bags to carry on a daily basis (see pic with my new Dalmata charm that just came in the mail).
And that’s where you all come in…
I have this very weird habit of getting attached to a bag and then, for some strange reason, I’ll start to baby it. I worry that I’m going to wear it out and so I just slowly start putting it to the side (does anyone else experience this phenomenon, by the way? No? Just me?).
At any rate, I’m going on a cruise in a few weeks and I want to give myself a little encouragement to feel comfortable carrying my bag with me. My question is this: Have any of y’all traveled with your Pochette Metis? If so, how did it hold up?

I haven't traveled with mine yet, however it's my daily bag (also empreinte noir) and it's flown off my passenger seat onto a dirty truck floor with dirt and gravel, seen rain, sun, snow and after 4ish years still looks amazing! My most favourite bag!
I have traveled with mine to Europe and Hawaii and have had no issues. As someone who generally babies their stuff, I actually LOVE any chance I get to carry my purses and I would much rather use them than have them sit in my closet. Let's enjoy our bags (and everything else) while we still can!
I brought my turtledove empreinte bag to New York City and to Denver this summer and it was the perfect travel bag! I used the slim purse rather than my usual Sarah wallet in the middle section so I could fit my sunglasses. I had the mini pochette in the front pocket with the usual things like Advil, nail file, floss, etc. In the back pocket I had my pen holder, reverse monogram card holder with the 3 cards I use most often, and a purse hook. I brought 2 other bags with me, but this was my go-to bag. Very easy thru the airport and while out and about!

I travel with mine ALL the time. It’s just the perfect bag. It fits all my daily essentials and more, it holds its shape, can conquer rain (I’ve even had bird poo on mine and after wiping it off it didn’t show). It’s just so careless! You should not worry, take it with you and just enjoy it to the fullest!
I almost cried when it happened! Had no wipes and took a while before I could clean it off, but when it left no stains I was like: this is DEFINITELY the best bag ever.The bird poo made me laugh!
I also feel the empreinte noir is understated enough to fit a lot of occasions. I also own the reverse but use that way less.

Very well said. I’m planning on getting the pm for travel too! How did you find it? Was comfy and enjoyable? Passports, travel docs and money, small drink bottle, camera, and small essentials would of fit perfectly right? And which one do you have?
