The little dimple wouldn’t bug me because it’s barely noticeable unless you’re looking for it, but if it bugs you, I would go exchange it. It might soften up over time but it might not.

As for the straps being in a plastic bag, I’ve only seen that when I order online sometimes. Whenever I buy from the store, my SA always removes the plastic (if there’s any) before she gives it to me. I’d be little iffy about the plastic not being on the hardware but as long as there’s no visible scratches, I think you’re good.

Hi everyone! I picked up the PM in Empreinte Noir from the Louis Vuitton boutique in Toronto today and according to the date code, it was made in France of this week. AR5220. Does it make sense that it was made sometime in the last 6 days and already made it to Canada? Not doubting it’s authenticity but I do find it weird. On another note, my S-Lock doesn’t “pop” open. It’s quite fussy and depending on how I’m holding the bag, it doesn’t open easily like I’ve seen on many YouTube reviews. Is this something that needs to be worked in over time or do I have a faulty S-Lock? And I’ve tried it with the bag full, half full and empty. I love the bag and would hate to have to wait for lockdown to be over to exchange it.

Congrats on your new PM! I got the monogram one earlier this year and I had the same concerns about my s-lock. It felt very “sticky” and certainly did not pop open easily at first. After using it though, it stopped being difficult to open. It opens with ease now. Hopefully yours will too.

thank you!!! It’s such a beautiful bag!! So I actually ended up bringing it back to LV today and luckily they had another one in stock.. I was able to exchange it and the new one is PERFECT. It pops open effortlessly and it stands upright which I didn’t mention in my previous comment. I think for the price we pay for these luxury items, it should be perfect from day one. Good on you for having the patience to stick it out and I’m glad your lock has eased up! The monogram version is also beautiful!

Hey everyone!
I’m new so please forgive me if I bring up a topic that’s already been discussed. I’m just trying to figure out how to navigate this forum.
I just bought a Pochette Métis in monogram and was curious if anyone in Canada has tried to tan the bag before using it to get it to patina evenly? Also curious how I can go about doing this in the winter with little sun. Can’t imagine waiting until spring to carry it!

Looking forward to your responses :)

I took a damp white t-shirt and wiped all the vachetta. Set it in the window to dry, and got caught in some rain shortly after. No issues. Also dumped a whole bottle of sparkling water on it and no water spots!

Thank you so much for your response! I can’t wait to give it a try. Have you tried tanning your bags in the winter? I’m curious as to whether it can be done.

If you own the PM in empreinte, can you tell me if it sags? I'm not looking to purchase any more canvas bags, and actually never liked the PM when it first came out, but for some reason the ones in empreinte are starting to catch my eye. I actually would prefer if it starts to sag as I like the saggy look. If I do end up purchasing this bag, I'll probably wear it with the flap left open and would want it to sag for a casual feel. Thanks in advance.

Since my preferred bandeau is not available in store I bought an alternative that is wayyyy cheaper and I liked it! Just want to share with you guys!

Hi ladies, so excited to join the club. I ordered my PM mono in December online, and was very nervous considering other shoppers experience purchasing LV online. However, I am veryyy satisfied with my purchase. It arrived in less than two days and I inspected it and couldn't find any flaws. I was hoping to receive one made in France, since it is my first LV purchase ever and would love to have one made by someone in France, and I am so glad the batch code confirmed that. So excited to use this as my daily bag, this just fits my lifestyle as I am a more casual dresser. I am so happy with the purchase, already eyeing one in empriente leather :P. I am just mad I didn't pick this up sooner

I have only had my PM Empreinte for a week but based on how it feels and how structured it is... I can’t see it sagging much or maybe over years of use it would? The leather is quite soft so maybe if you stuff it with a lot of things it will sag faster. I personally don’t want mine to lose its structure so I pack light. Toiletry 15, Chanel medium flap wallet in the bigger middle compartment. Empreinte key pouch, mono key pouch and mask in the front compartment and then I put my phone in the outside zip compartment in the back. It can definitely hold more though!
