I just bought my first pochette felicie in mono. I plan to use it as a run around bag on my daily walk or going to the shops, as a purse/wallet in my larger bags (Neverfulls) and use the inserts alone as in my smaller bags (Speedy B25). I've been watching so many videos on styling it casually or formally and I'm so excited to get her!Congrats!!! Sounds like you're going to get plenty of use out of her. I sometimes forget how versatile this piece is. Enjoy!Hello from the UK! I'm a newbie to this forum although a long time stalkerI just bought my first pochette felicie in mono. I store mine with the chain and inserts inside, no other stuffing. I think it's structured enough that it doesn't really need stuffing. I used to keep it in the box until I found out that that can dry out the leather, so now I just keep it in the dust bag.How do you guys store your PF? I’m not sure if I should stuff the bag and/or keep it in the dust bag to keep it looking the best!
Yes, mine does have slight chipping on the glazing on some edges, which I assume is rubbing from normal wear and tear. I am not sure if it’s fixable. You could take it in to have them look at it.For those who’ve had the mono or damier for a while, have you seen the edges/trim of the bag chip paint and any recos on how to fix?
I have the same problem with my tourterelle bicolore. I'd be happy to find a strap that matched either of the two colours but everything I've seen so far has always been a little bit offI bought the felicie a year ago in the galet color (epi leather), and I love the bag, but I don't find myself using it as much as I'd like because sometimes I just don't want to wear the chain strap. I've looked around a little for a strap alternative, but haven't really found anything that would look nice with the galet color. Its such a specific color, which makes finding a color-match strap nearly impossible. A black strap would look too harsh, and I'm not a fan of vachetta straps. Anyone out there have any suggestions for a strap that might work with this color?
I have a PF in vernis leather in the color amarante. I was able to purchase an Alma BB strap (in vernis amarante) from the store. It is gold harware on both the pochette and the strap. That could perhaps be an option for you? Of course you check if they have an Alma BB in the same color and with matching hardware.I have the same problem with my tourterelle bicolore. Turtledove and Galet are such specific colors, so finding a strap that's not directly from LV that actually matches is next to impossible. LV doesn't even sell straps in those colors, from what I see on their site. I did see a pre-owned turtledove strap on Fashionphile (i think) last month, so you might get lucky if you keep checking there. I still haven't had any luck on a galet strap.I have the same problem with my tourterelle bicolore. Hi everyone, I need some help here. I'm new to LV and managed to score a FP in mono earlier this month as my first LV bag! The bag came with great front alignment, stitching, MIF. But when closing the flap, applying some pressure causes a slight dent on the bag and I have to stuff the bag to bring the dent up. Perhaps I'm closing the flap when the bag is empty? There's also an obvious marking on the button which I'm willing to accept it as it is really hard to get a FP in my country and anyway its just a small flaw.
However, just days ago I manage to get hold of a made in Spain FP. So my current FP is more matt and the canvas/ leather material of the bag (including inserts) seem to be on the soft side, not as thick and structured as the MIS piece.
In comparison, the MIS piece has a thicker canvas, more reflective/ shiner but duller print. The front alignment is slightly off, but the whole bag is more structured and did not leave a dent when I applied pressure to close the button. Did a side by side comparison, the new MIS FP seem a tiny bit smaller than my MIF FP. The flap of the bag is also visibly 'flying' even when the bag is freshly out of the box.
I'm not confident to get hold of another piece before my 30 days return is up. I'm intending to keep the MIF piece. Should I be concerned about the softer canvas? Can anyone share their experience handling these 2 different kind of canvas and what are your preference?
Also, any LV shoulder strap recommendation to go with FP? Would you recommend a mono strap (with or without shoulder pad) or Ebene 16 MM or 16 MM VVN. Thank you!!
