Yea, I’m not saying I agree with their logic. There’s a very interesting news story on it from CNN that I watched not too long ago. It brings down the brand in terms of having a reputation for luxury and exclusivity. If everyone and their mother carries LV, it’s no longer exclusive which ruins their reputation and branding. Also, keep in mind that Louis Vuitton is only one brand under the LVMH umbrella. They also own Dior, Givenchy, Marc Jacobs,
Fendi, etc. to name a few. And also wine/spirits, watches, makeup (Kat Von D, Make Up Forever), Hotel chains, and just acquired Tiffany & Co. So they have money coming in from all directions.
