Yea, I’m not saying I agree with their logic. There’s a very interesting news story on it from CNN that I watched not too long ago. It brings down the brand in terms of having a reputation for luxury and exclusivity. If everyone and their mother carries LV, it’s no longer exclusive which ruins their reputation and branding. Also, keep in mind that Louis Vuitton is only one brand under the LVMH umbrella. They also own Dior, Givenchy, Marc Jacobs, Fendi, etc. to name a few. And also wine/spirits, watches, makeup (Kat Von D, Make Up Forever), Hotel chains, and just acquired Tiffany & Co. So they have money coming in from all directions.
I think they should spend more time worrying about Quality control issues, than distribution of their luxury brands. Having owned many many Michael Kors and Coach wallets over the years, I never ever had a wallet fall apart at all, however my Clemence wallet owned for only a few months came apart. Thankfully LV allowed me to replace or exchange for something else. I understand exclusivity but the average person cannot afford or would not choose to spend over $300 on a LV accessory, not to mention thousands on a handbag. LVMH is huge but they are pissing off their loyal customers by doing this, in my opinion.

But is there truly any such thing as real exclusivity nowadays...(unless you get something custom made that's only for you) or is it just an illusion?! There are over a billion people in the world and everything is mass produced to fulfill demands. Hundreds of people in each country own the same luxury items. Does that make it exclusive? Brands copy or are inspired by each other's styles and designs all the time. I don't know where people get this idea from that when they buy a luxury item, they think they're the only ones that own the item, and some people actually go so far as if they were to see someone else carrying the same bag shopping at target or something then they suddenly wouldn't want the bag anymore, which is laughable to say the least. Anyways I personally think this whole idea of "exclusivity" is just a pretentious fallacy marketing strategy entrepeneurs use to lure in consumers.
And yes I agree, since there are other brands under lvmh-- that's one of the reasons they don't pay much needed attention to quality control issues as they're still acquiring sales regardless of complaints in addition to the profits being made from other brands.

They have been popping up a lot lately so keep stalking. I snagged one of each this morning. Even though I already have the bags I love these bags and bought them as backups. Not really sure if that’s a good idea. These bags are my most used lv bags that I carry crossbody, in my larger bags. One is my makeup bag. I feel like one day they will stop making them. They are the best small bags that LV has in my opinion.
Yessssssss!!!! Welcome to the darkside!!! When I first started looking into getting a crossbody I found the pa and only wanted one! But then somehow somewhere along the way during my researching I stumbled upon this site. If I hadn't joined this forum I would've never thought of the idea of getting backups!!! I was more influenced by the notion of the necessities in rotations. This forum has doomed me and burned a biga$$ hole in my wallet! It was johnpauliegal that made me do the deed! But I'm glad I did cause I haven't regretted it since. You won't either if it truly is one your most used bags! And pa's can always come in handy! Andddddd when/where else would you find such a cute versatile luxury bag below $1k?!?!?!?! I'll wait.....................................exactly! Don't overthink it. Just enjoy it!

So do you have 2 mono PAs and 2 Azur PAs at the moment? I have recently had a mono PA that I used with a mono strap and I love it so much. I am thinking of buying another mono PA as a backup. Not 100% sure if it's a good idea. If you have both, I will have more motivation to buy a spare one
It is a good idea!!!! Just buy!!! Don't overthink!!!

I agree, and I really like COACH too. Most of my bags are COACH.
Pochettes are definitely my favorite style of LV too, as I prefer small bags.

Yes, I completely agree.

Yes, I totally agree.
I buy what I like, and I don’t care if everyone has it or not; or even it is a brand name or not. Pochettes are my favorite in the LV line though. Perfect size for me. I also buy a lot of COACH, and Fossil.

Hi all,

I was hoping for some advice re my pochette accessories. I had been stalking the site for a new PA however they never seemed to come back into stock so I ended up buying a vintage one from The RealReal. However, after two wears the strap has split into two, which I really hate despite it being useable!
As I bought it second hand, I presume I wont be able to buy a new strap from an LV store? Unsure now whether to continue stalking the LV site and sell my pre-loved PA. Any advice would be hugely appreciated

Exactly my point of view! Everyone and their mama+grandmama+great great grandmamas carry lv's around where I'm from...they're everywhere...real or fake. I barely notice them on my daily outings let alone have time and/or desire to form an opinion. But some people do take notice and make it the highlight of their conversation of what a stranger is seen carrying...like get a life?!?! Bags and accessories don't really increase/decrease your status despite what mainstream says. Just because you shop luxury doesn't mean you're rich. Just because you shop walmart doesn't mean you're poor. Wearing what you like isn't something that needs to be explained. If you mismatch that's ok too...just do you boo:amuse:
Pochettes (& speedies) are my fave too in the lv world! Love me some coach slgs as well! They're quite durable. I saw this one post on instagram where someone posted a pic of their lv/chanel/coach slgs together and one commentator made some remark about how coach doesn't belong in the same pic with lv & chanel lol. The discrimination is surreal out here lol

You can try to take the pochette to a boutique and ask for a replacement strap which you'll have to pay for. Or you can buy non-lv straps from variety of third parties. Those reseller sites also sells straps individually. Or you can sell the preloved one and stalk for a brand new one. There should be more replenishments around valentines.

There are tons of 3rd party sellers who sell vachetta straps similar to the PA's on eBay and Etsy. I would just get one of those. If you must have a real LV one, then you can go to the store and ask. It wouldn't be worth the cost for me though. I would keep the original one incase you ever want to sell the pouch though (if you decide to get an off brand strap).

Stalked a PA DA online for a while, and picked it up in store today! Newish collector here, so most of my items have been via FP or LV online. Nice to walk into a store and have the full in-person experience today  My SA was pretty impressed I found one of these online too!
Beauty! What's your datafile code? Is it still 2019 or is it already 2020?

Interestingly enough, my PA was MIF with a code around the 25th week of 2019! I commented on that right away and the SA said that one reason is that there has been some delays at customs as products are imported. So I wonder if they are slowly being dribbled out? Tension between US and Europe playing out here? Not sure...
