Thanks. And a photo to illustrate... :smile1:

It looks very nice! I love how your muranos subtly match.

However, I still don't get why Pandora makes chains that don't hide the threads. Having to combine one with clips seems like there is something wrong with the design ;)
I'm still waiting for what I'd call "half clips": clips that you would clip on the bracelet, but would have a big opening on just one side. So they would come over the end thread, but not be able to cross it. Does my description make sense?
I'm considering going to a jeweller and see if they could modify 2 of my clips to obtain that design. I just need to decide which one to sacrifice!
Obviously, the best solution would be to have that concept applied to safety chain. It seems so evident to me that I was quite surprised when I realised chains were not made like that.

Melora and rose thank you. :smile1:

True... I was certain that this chain would surely fit on the threaded sections on the bracelet ends but it didn't.

Not to mention, it costs twice as much as the one I have.
And the threaded sections are visible just the same.

I was browsing the Pandora website and have noticed that the safety chains now only comes in 5cm. Which is contrary with the item desciptions with length variations (4,5,6,7 cm). Is 5cm a good length for the safety chain? I initially wanted a 4cm but I guess Pandora doesn't have safety chains in that length anymore.

I have also read youtube reviews saying that the safety chains (both clip ons and old version) will slide off the bracelet if bracelet is not full of charms. Mine is not full yet. Or is there a proper way of putting safety chains if the bracelet is not full?

You have to make sure that total length of the bracelet together with the safety chain gives you enough room to remove the bracelet over the widest part of your hand but not that it falls of easily (that would mean it's too big). My chain is a bit longish (60 mm) and since it is not placed at bracelets' ends, it is quite a tight fit when I try to roll it off. So that's for my 19 cm bracelet. My oxi is 18 cm and I still don't have a safety chain for it.

I have tried the 5cm safety chain in a Pandora boutique. It seems fine but I was not able to try the 4cm. No available stock again!

Do you buy safety chains for your Pandora bracelets?

Is it really necessary and useful?

What length of safety chain do you prefer?
I like the look of my safety chain and I also feel like it does help with safety. For example, if your bracelet did snap open at the clasp, your safety chain will give you some extra time to notice before it falls off your wrist. Another good example is when you are taking off your bracelet, the safety chain will help prevent your bracelet from dropping to the floor and breaking a murano or scratching a bead, most especially when you have a full bracelet, it tends to 'fling open' because of the weight.

My safety chain has never gotten caught on anything and I always wear it on my bracelet. And here is Canada there is only the 5cm, at the stores in Montreal anyways.

Some of the safety chains do hide the threads. The ones with hearts and the raindrops safety chains can sit right on the threads and you can't see them, but only if your bracelet is full. If you only have a few beads, and a safety chain, then the safety chain will move around off the threads.

I finally found a Pandora outlet location! It's a few miles North of Las Vegas.
I went there yesterday, and was a bit disappointed. There were not that much retired items, and there was no new collection.
I still got a retired murano for $25, and a retired ring. It's the first of a new collection. I intend on buying other rings during the buy-2-get-1 promotion in July.
I looked at the retired silver beads, but I think I already have everything I like.

I mentioned to the SA that I exchanged my old Pandora bracelet for a brand new Trollbeads, and she was quite shocked!!

I have both of these muranos. I think the other one was much better. It looks a little washed out to me. And the yellow flowers here is out of the total scheme. All theses muranos by itself are very beautiful. I think the style is way too different.
I have to agree with you. I don't usually like telling someone how they should design their bracelet but the OP's first instincts were right on! I loved that orange murano with the teal. It was so lively and eye catching for summer. The daisy murano is very pretty but it is lost against the colour saturation of the teal.

Oh, and I completed my bracelet... The other day I went to the store intending to buy the white murano but instead came back with the orange one, the one with the flowers.

It goes really well with my teal muranos, the white one will have to wait I guess... I'll post pics once I'm happy with how I've rearranged everything.

Also, I have a question for those of you who have oxi bracelets. have they shown any signs of oxidation wearing away? I have noticed some light spots on mine... I knew it would happen eventually, but after measly two months?? (I got it in April). I should add, I have not worn it every day, I decided to stop wearing it for the time being.
I didn't say so at the time, but I think your instincts were dead on when you paired the orange murano with the teal. They both had the same colour saturation which is why they caught your eye. The daisy murano is pretty but has retreated being flanked by two power house teals!
