Same here. I got real boxes from Elisa Ilana around Christmas, though.
In my store in store, I had to explicitely ask for a real box.
In a concept store, buying 4 charms, I had 4 boxes without even asking.
A year ago to the day, I moved from France to California. To celebrate, I reorganized my bracelet. It's pretty random, except for the "kinda stars and stripes"![]()

I just checked the Bloomingdales website and they currently do not sell Pandora jewelry. Now that doesn't mean they didn't in the past. A lot of their jewelry is high end like David Yurman, Lagos, etc. If people can fake jewelry, they can also fake paper receipts. In the US and Canada, most retailers return retired jewelry back to Pandora, a few continue to sell but they can raise the price depending on the rarity of the item. In Canada we have a jewelry store that sells retired Pandora charms called Charm Junction. They are a legitimate company. They currently have the purse charm available for 75.00 CAD which was the regular list price so that means it still isn't considered rare. Do you know how much the receipt says your seller paid for the charm at Bloomingdales? I keep all my Pandora catalogs from the US and Canada. As recent as the 2014 catalogs it was 60USD in the US.
Do you buy safety chains for your Pandora bracelets?
Is it really necessary and useful?
What length of safety chain do you prefer?
It depends what you like. I personally don't have a safety chain or want one, I would not like it catching on things, it also may take room away from an extra charm or 2. Some people like the look though. As for safety, I've never had a clasp come open unexpectedly, I feel pretty secure with my bracelets without it.
Hmmm, that's very odd. I just went on Bloomie's website again and it still shows that there is no Pandora for sale. I wonder if that is because I'm in Canada and it's an American company. I know lots of American jewelry websites won't sell Pandora outside of the country, maybe because of restrictions by Pandora. So I'm sorry if I caused some confusion. I think the OP who was asking about Bloomie's charms didn't live in NA so was relying on information from here.Bloomingdales does sell Pandora both on their websites and in many of their stores, I have bought a lot of Pandora from them (just did so last week for the promo). The bow purse charm is not on the website because it is retired, but the stores I've been to don't always clear out their retired charms so you can get lucky and find a recently retired sometimes. The SA can also look the charm up in the whole company's inventory and sometimes find a retired this way.

Since I only have two clips and two charms, I don't think I need a safety yet, but I like your idea of attaching it, and the hearts will be the one I choose "when."Yes, I believe a safety chain is important. At least is it for my peace of mind. Full bracelets are expensive and why would you worry about it sliding off if you don't have to... I have the silver one with the hearts, 60 mm long. Since it is threaded and I don't want it to get stuck all the time on the threaded sections at the end of the bracelet, I put two clips right before the threaded sections of the bracelet. That way, the safety chain ends are moved more towards the middle sections and provide more security for me since this makes sliding off my wrist virtually impossible.
I went to the store yesterday and exchanged my orange murano for the field of daisies one, it looks much much better now.
