May I add that there is another charm that I completely detest but it's not in this spring collection I don't know what collection it came from but seriously ??? It's the dangle with the wish bone!! Sorry if you have this charm but I'm kinda highlighting the thought if any from the designers who created it. I thought it was a pair of pliers!! Again I'm sorry if I offend but if you love it and have this charm ignore me.

A few pages back I told you that a friend bought me and my friend a couple of cheap charms as gifts. They were silver plated or metal and looked like they were from the pound shop (I am sounding like a complete ***** but you need to hear them in context). They looked very cheap. I know it's the thought that counts and we felt bad that she had wasted her money on buying them as we would never wear them on our Pandora - Pandora on Pandora only. Anyway she said she had bought some for herself. This is the friend who bought a whole bunch of cheap fake charms and put them on her bracelet and in our opinion spoiled her Pandora bracelet that we got her as a gift. My friend asked our friend where she had got these charms from that she got us because she wanted to buy the same make bracelet to put them on. Our friend said that she got them online and couldn't remember the website. I asked her to wear her bracelet the next day. She came in with her bracelet on the next day and had taken off all her fakes charms and only had a few real silver ones on - the gingerbread man (Chamilia) and frog (Pandora) and a few sparkly ones from Warren James or somewhere like that. She then said that she was actually going to buy us the ginger bread man or the frog but ended up buying us the ones she got us. My friend and I don't know what to do with these charms that she got us. We don't want to hurt her feeling by not wearing them but at the same time they are so obviously fake and not silver (no stamp), that we wouldn't put them on Pandora. I appreciate that it's the thought that counts and that she may not have not much money (this isn't the case but I wouldn't expect anyone to buy me anything anyway), but we feel bad that she spends what she has and buy these things.

I guess this has just ended up as a tale, not a question.:shucks:

I think someone on here has the wishbone that they got as a present for xmas! Don't worry as I know what you mean. We all have charms that we hate. I know a lot of people have the initial charm (silver) here but I just find it so dull. Even the two tone is not great. If they can somehow make them more presentable and pretty, I may even like it. I find it really boring however that is just my opinion and I know plenty who love theirs.

The pretzel charm makes me think "what the hell?" Whys would anyone want a pretzel charm? I love pretzels but I wouldn't want to wear one. I don't like the bells (xmas charm either). My friend has it and it sits so weird on her necklace.

I agree with everything said! At least our current bracelets are all classy and elegant, and you if you have things on your wishlist from previous collections you'll be able to catch up! I honestly can't see myself ever starting another bracelet. :(

I really want to start another bracelet with a red theme and have the two new Chinese charms on with a couple of red muranos.

My daughter has that bangle is chamilia? She has most of the disney charms on there And has chamilia muranoes theyre smaller and dainty may I say they have better designs than some of the pandora ones.
I agree some of the Chamilia charms are really beautiful and a bit smaller so you can get more on a bracelet. Haven't bought any though.

Hmm I will have a think and let you know. I don't really have a dealer per se but try to make educated guesses based on feedback, pics etc. just this week I got a charm but that was through Jewel First - they also have an eBay store that seems to have items not listed on their website.
Hi, I just bought a few things from their website (thanks for the tip, ladies) but didn't realize that they had an ebay store, too. Would you mind providing their seller name on eBay? Thanks.

I love my two tone 'D' :smile1:. Never understood why they scrapped these for those silver blocky letters..

Gosh you ladies getting a bit hot under the collar this afternoon...puf! :D

Only joking, I totally agree. That is why I go for more abstract designs in Pandora, and have done quite well shopping from stores such as Jewel First etc. buying the older charms.

I work in marketing and these sorts of discussions are invaluable. Most companies monitor blogs and forums as it's free market research, so hopefully Pandora will take the hint!

I have recently started collecting Trollbeads (VERY early days - only got a bracelet and two beads) but Iam starting to find their beads more meaningful. I even found one to commemorate my father who recently passed away.

This is one for the ladies here to debate on. My friend asked me if it was worth buying another Pandora bracelet and swapping over the charms after a few years because at some point the threads on the ends of the bracelet may come loose and come away from the bracelet, thus the bracelet will come apart and this would mean losing it at worst or losing some charms at best. What are peoples thoughts on this? Would you never replace your bracelet unless it broke or would you replace it after a few years, on the assumption the wear and tear may make the threads weak. A full bracelet is quite and I think she has a point but the cost of a new bracelet is pricey too.:smile1:
I'm more concerned with losing my charms since the bracelets are relatively easy to replace but not the charms since many are retired.

A couple of years ago I was grocery shopping and I don't know what happened but my bracelet got caught on the cart's handle and snapped off so all the charms in the first section went rolling all over the place and I pretty well freaked out! I had about 4 people crawling around on their hands and knees looking for them. I got all of them back thank goodness but the bracelet was finished.

I took it back to the jewellers and they said they would sent it to Pandora (I keep all my receipts for insurance purposes) to see if it could be fixed but I ended up getting a new one. And even if I'd had a safety chain on, I still would have lost the charms just because of where it broke. So pretty lucky, all in all.
