Sorry if I seemed "frantic" I was just excited to help out a fellow Pandora lover. I have been signed up on this site for a few months (I think you can see that in my profile) but I never posted anything before. It caught my eye that someone was asking about collectabead because I love this seller and I swear I am not affiliated with them in anyway. I live in Canada anyways.

I don't think though that a seller would sell some real and some fake, but it is something to consider. You should always be careful about buying online and if you are not sure then take it for yourself to the Pandora store and tell them you are suspicious. And like I said in my original post, I am a long time ebayer and I know that feedback usually doesn't reflect much of anything anyways unless it is super repetitive then you know its probably true. Collectabead doesn't have very repetitive negatives which tells you that those "its fake" feedbacks probably have a different story behind them, as I found out for one of them.

Ok fair enough, that's your opinion, but based on the feedback I can see from this seller there is no way I would buy from them. I personally think feedback is important on beat, it's there for a reason. And we're not just taking a few negative comments here either, the evidence is clear to me.

Does Pandora permit their authorized U.S. dealers to sell on eBay? Perhaps I'm wrong but I didn't think they were allowed to do so.

To read through an eBay seller's feedback more easily head to www.toolhaus.org and type in the seller's name. The site will let you read and search their negative and neutral feedback more quickly than you can on eBay.

Why would pandora feel the need to have an authorised ebay seller, not necessary.

I thought I read somewhere that pandora didn't allow that as well. I have my fare share of purchasing fakes on ebay, which is really disappointing, but I seem to have good luck when it appears to come from someone's own personal collection.
I like perlen for some things as well, but generally feel more comfortable just going to my concept store. Plus I love leaving the store with a pandora box and bag, makes me feel fancy!!

:D I do that as well. I buy only one silver or murano bead every few months, but I love going to a store to pick it out and get it all wrapped up! I'm sure I drive the clerks bonkers with my fussing, hemming and hawing, and inevitable modest purchase.

I don't think they do feel the need, and that was my point. They have very strict rules for their authorized dealers, about where they can sell, what other products they can sell in their store besides Pandora, and they never permit sales and discounts. Nordstrom sells Pandora for instance but their frequent sales and coupons never seem to apply. Perlen gets by with the discount prices only because of their country's unique trade laws that prohibit Pandora from dictating their prices, and Pandora is obviously not happy with Perlen and has tried to end their relationship.

So when you see eBay sellers with great volumes of Pandora charms, most listed as "new," advertised with Pandora stock photos, as opposed to photos of the actual charm, and sold at a discount off Pandora's retail price, well, you have to wonder. Where did they get their merchandise? Did it fall off a truck?

Hi ladies. I do not often wear bracelets but I am seriously considering buying a Pandora collier bracelet. I love the way it looks and fits even without the charms. I really like the bracelet with the gold clasp however it costs around $511 in our country. The one with the silver clasp is $100. Do you think it would be worth it to buy the bracelet at these prices? By the way, I'd probably wear the bracelet without charms. Thanks in advance. :-)

I think your right. Pandora doesn't allow their stuff to be sold on ebay but I read somewhere that the seller had a store and was selling them on ebay aswell. Not sure though...

I like purchasing from the concept store too but sometimes you can get good deals on ebay. I suppose it's a bit of a risk. With Collectabead on ebay I noticed I could possibly get a charm for around $15-$25 cheaper. I'm in Canada so I find the prices are a bit higher here.

Another thing I was thinking about was, If they sold "fakes" Why would they also be selling expensive 14ct gold bracelets/Earrings/Rings/Necklaces, etc.

I've never seen or heard about there being fakes with the other Pandora items like bracelets and earrings. Have you?

Update: After doing some more research online I came across a past post from someone on TPF back in 2009.

What was said about ebay seller Collectabead:

In terms of eBay feedback, consider the sources. A vendors with 1,000s of positive reviews who then gets a negative from an infrequent buyer -- well, I tend to look in favor of the vendor, especially if they have been in business for years.

So here's the problem I have, I emailed the seller from Collectabead (ebay seller) a few days ago about Authenticity and they said the exact same thing. Word for word. Sounds really suspicious.

I placed a bid on one of there auctions and won. Now what do I do? Should I just tell ebay that I believe the seller is selling fakes and I don't want to get scammed/go through with the purchase? I could use some advice. Thanks!

Hi there, I just thought it was a bit strange that that person would sign up for the forum and post frantically about collectabead, maybe it is someone from collectabead? I don't know, I'm sorry if it worried you but I thought it was very strange. I checked out their eBay store too and although there is positive feedback there is also ALOT of negative feedback from people stating they received fakes, and having them authenticated at a pandora store. I think maybe some of their products are ok, but not all, hence why I would be a bit cautious that's all.

+1 lots of ebay sellers sell extremely good copies, as well as some genuine beads. I wouldn't risk buying from there.

If you're not planning on adding charms, I think you could get a similar style elsewhere much cheaper.

My new angel and teacup charm. I also bought the tea cup charm for my friend for Easter as a gift, as we normally give each other a little something.

Am still pondering on what to buy my friend as a wedding gift in July. I will be getting her and her husband a wedding gift, but I wanted to get her a charm just from me, as a friendship charm, not necessarily a wedding charm. I've had the double happiness charm suggested so far, but I think I would go with the forever friends butterfly if I was going to go for a double charm. I am still hoping you ladies can throw some ideas my way.x

In the time I posted I have been thinking and I am going to get the small love bouquet. She one of my best friend's and the charm is very cute. I have it. A friend bought me it for my birthday years ago and I've always loved it, so I think I will go with that charm. She is about to move house very soon and buy her dream house. I've bought the house charm as a little gift for her.
