Sorry to bug you all again...Has anyone bought Pandora charms from Chains-and-Charms.com? Is their service good? Is that a good online retailer to buy? I will be moving soon, with no Pandora retailers around...so all this research for online shopping...

Can someone clarify something for me in regards to retired beads? I had a look on the Denmark beads site list & there are charms on there that are still in the recently released catalog I picked up? Does it make a difference that I am in the uk? Can anyone out there give me a list that has been retired for sure so I know what charms I like to snap up? Tia. :)

;)About the watch bead, which cities in Germany are you going to visit?
Generally the department store called Galeria Kaufhof stocks pandora. Some stores have larger collections that others. Christ jewellery stores all carry pandora charms too, but I would visit Kaufhof if I was after match jewellery. They have a larger selection, in general.

I have been to Stuttgart, and Galeria Kaufhof nearest the main train station have their own pandora kiosk with a dedicated SA working there! They had everything! That place had the best service too.

If you're visiting Switzerland, Christ also carry pandora, and maybe a few other jewellers and big department stores will have them too, like Jelmoli in Zürich.

This site has some of the larger watch beads:

Thanks citrusacid for the links and tips! I will be in Munich and probably will end up in Switzerland and Austria too (so excited! Didn't think I would get over there again, but my mother is originally from there and we are going together. It will be the last time she will go back). I know that Kaufhof is in Munich, or at least it was when I was there last time.....vielen Dank!:flowers: Many thanks. I will be sure to check it and the other stores out. About 4 months until we go!

Thanks also, Pandora Junkie for the link! it's a good way to practise my German speaking skills....reading Pandora websites in german instead of English! Never thought I would be doing that!

Bitte schön! Kaufhof should be all over Germany, even in the smaller towns, so you'll have no problems finding one. ;) How sweet that you'll be going with your mum! and by the sound of it, you'll have no trouble with the language, unlike me... I get my bf to do all the talking. :p

April...in uk they retire beads in jan.so if you go to your pandora concept shop they will tell you as it will be marked in their book .I got some of my retired beads that way .

Thanks. Do you think it will go by what isn't no longer in the most recent catalogue, as there is a hell of a lot missing in the current catalogue?

I heard from my local pandora that some of the beads are going to be discontinued but they would not not till jan .

Wonder which ones? Hopefully if it is the cupcake & the silver & gold queen bee & the aquamarine tulip charms , I can get them at Christmas. Do pandora announce retirements or do they just say nothing & quietly remove them from the website?

April...they dont give any warnings ,just ask them when you go over in jan ...luckily the pandora staff in my local pandora shop are very friendly as i buy a lot from them so they do tell me when i ask ,so will know only in jan .

Get the ones that you want as soon as you can from your local retailer. I've looked online and see that the resellers mark them up alot! I doubt they sell that many at the prices that they are charging as in the case of a site I found called PanCharms. Rip off! Even Wisconsin Beads has already marked up the recently retired charms. I was told that Pandora destroys the remainder after a certain period post-retirement.

I wish they did have a nice dragon bead. I am a dragon in the Chinese horoscope and collect dragon pendants and charms. I say that the Pandora dragon is just a dinosaur parading as a dragon. I do have one, but I am not real crazy about it. I wish it looked more like a dragon.

Chiyopia has a few dragon beads:

I have a few Chiyopia beads and I’m very pleased with the quality.

FYI to anyone in the Toronto area: Chiyopia will have a booth at this weekend’s Women’s Show. At trade shows, their beads are 10% off and no taxes; also many bargain sample beads.
