I am trying to decide if I should get a silver bracelet or a silver with the gold. I have it in my head that two tone is bad, but I know that is no longer true. Who here has two tone and how to do you like it? Also what is the reason why they make the silver bracelet with the gold is it for the two toned look or is it so when the bracelet is complete and you have gold beads that it looks all gold? TIA! Mary

EITHER!

Honestly, with Pandora its up to YOU what happens, and they have tried to create a range of bracelets to give you more flexibility. I guess if you don't want to fork out for an all-gold bracelet you can go for the silver with gold clasp and fill that with beads, but equally, if you want the two toned look you have that option too. Just go for whatever your instinct tell you. As you probably know, Pandora make a lot of two-tone beads so a real mix of silver / gold / silver&gold is possible. If you look at the thread "show us your Pandora creations" you will see that others have successfully created some beautiful two-tone bracelets. Its really up to the individual.

Personally I'm not keen on the two-tone look for myself because I prefer all silver with splashes of colour, but I can still appreciate how lovely the two-tone bracelets are.

I'm waffling on here, but to summarise, I really think you should just go with whatever look you are drawn to. There are no rules - Pandora just gives you the tools for you to create your bracelet just the way you like it.

Have fun!

Hi all, am new to the forum but have been addicted to Pandora for a while and found this thread whilst having a google! Just been reading through the last few pages and to the peeps who are from the UK and mentioning the Pandora promos I know that the store in Bowness is doing the promo next Friday, spend £75 and get a free leather bracelet. I'm hoping they are going to do it in the Preston one as that's a bit closer to me.

Hi, of course it's an individual choice but the two tones are my favorite! I have 3 of them. I wear yellow gold wedding rings and a stainless steel watch with yellow gold trim (which I've had for 25 years), so for me the two tone makes perfect sense and ties the two together. I love the gold charms, but to me, a bracelet has more interest if it also has some silver or two tone charms in addition to the pure gold ones.

Hi guys,

I have a friend that has 2 of the 3 Hans C. Anderson beads. She is missing the top hat. Does anyone know where I can find an authentic HCA pandora top hat bead without paying $300 for it? Any information would be awesome! Thanks:D

I actually just yesterday found this charm after looking for it for nearly a year (I too, was not willing to pay $300 for it) - it is a very elusive charm! Unfortunately, the store I got it at only had one in stock, and of course, I doubt they will be getting anymore since it is discontinued. Good luck, though - there is some hope! :shrugs:

Want to sell it? hahaha jk :p

I'm getting my pandora bracelet and forget me knot charm tomorrow!!! =D So excited. But the catch is...I don't receive it until December 14th, my birthday! :( haha. My question is do you think it'll be ok in the box for that many months? It's the silver one with the gold clasp. Nothing will happen to it will it? Thanks

It should be fine in the box for that amount of time. I'd recommend storing it in a regular cool, dry place. You may want to invest in a polishing cloth and shine it up once between now and December. As I said though, it should be fine.

you should tell him that it will get tarnished if it sits in the box that long, so you need to wear it sooner just to protect the investment! lol. there is no way i would be able to wait that long if I knew it was there!!

OOH! Day 2 and just got a new charm!!! The nearest Pandora retailer is an hour away, so I bought my bracelet and first charm (blue ribbon murano) online. But there's a Chamilia retailer nearby - twisted the heck out of DH's arm to go (he's getting an iTunes gift card in return, LMAO) and I got the Motherhood charm! Will post a pic in the other thread later.

Seeing these things in person, in the jewelry store with their artificially SUPER BRIGHT lights make them look absolutely STUNNING! Like amazing! I'm in love, LMFAO.

AAAANNNNDDD... just got some more birthday money in the mail today! I'll be able to get 1 charm, what a decision I have ahead, LOL. I actually really want the clips now (it's driving me nuts that the charms are sliding all over the place). But I only have enough money for 1 clip, so guess that will have to wait (unfortunately, looks like til Christmas). Wondering now if I go back to the Chamilia store, or order online from Pandora.

Wow, this is a really bad obsession - don't remember the last time I was this excited over something... oh wait, that was last month with the iPhone 4. :p

Question for any of you who have both Pandora and Chamilia charms on your bracelets... is there a noticable difference between the two sets of charms? It seems on the web site photos, at least, that the coloring of the silver charms are a bit different - as in the Chamilia seem super shiny vs Pandora a bit more muted?

More of a question though - how is the sizing between the two, esp on the silver charms? Approx the same, or is one noticebly different than the other?

It's a present from my grandma you see so there's no way she'll allow me access :( lol so I won't be able to polish it until I receive it but it should be ok shouldn't it. I'll ask for the charm to be separate. Also getting the grey single leather bracelet (promo) that will ok right? Thanks

I just purchased a Chamilia charm and absolutely love it! It seems heavier and bigger than my Pandora charms and definitely shinier! Not to mention less expensive. I put the one new Chamilia next to my 2 Pandora and they look fine together though. Mostly because the Pandora beads and all over the place size-wise (which I think is strange, there should be some uniformity in my opinion). My all gold Pandora bead is really tiny next to my 2 tone and all silver Pandoras.

Anyways, I've decided to get more Chamilia beads to balance out the less shiny Pandora beads so the one doesn't stick out so much. The Chamilia online bracelet maker is much easier to use than the Pandora ones too, it's round not in a straight line.

Hi BagaholicAnon - that's great to hear! Any chance for a photo ? :)

And I agree - I MUCH prefer the Chamilia bracelet maker! Now if only some outside source would make one that includes BOTH Pandora and Chamilia charms. That would make life easier for those of us using both types of charms, LOL. :p
