Lovely bracelets, bangles and new additions ladies! It's been a few days so too many posts to catch up! Love the new greens and especially the dangly charm. Glad I have a fellow bangle sister too ;)

Talking of that, how scratched is your jewellery? Do your bracelets/bangles/charms get thrashed about a lot? I am asking cos something has happened to my bangle and it has become really lacklustre. Really disappointed as I had it a month!

I scratched it accidentally, if you remember, but left for hols with a pretty shiny bangle. Been really careful with it here. I take it off as soon as I get back in, put on it the morning and only whilst out and about in the city. It had no contact with any creams, pool water etc. when I wash my hands, I always roll it up my arm.

I tried the polishing cloth, I tried washing it with a touch of washing up liquid as recommended to no avail. It just looks worn and if I may say so, cheap. :nogood:Perhaps it lost its lustre from the 7 charms moving about and causing tiny scratches. Does this happen on the snake bracelet?

Do you think it's worth trying to get it swapped under the 1 year warranty or will I be laughed out of the store? I am getting a feeling that Pandora CS isn't great.

It doesn't hurt to ask the store if you can exchange the bangle (you can call them up to save time), but I think that it's a universal problem that charms that screw on will cause scratches on the bangle. My last purchase consisted of a bangle, 3 charms, safety chain. I wasn't planning on putting anything on my bangle but the sales person packaged my charms, safety chain onto the bangle instead of separating the items in bags or a box. So I didn't notice it until I got home and separated everything that the bangle was scratched where the sales person put the safety chain on (first of all, I would never use a safety chain on the bangle), and the scratch was noticable on a new bangle considering that I didn't even wear it yet!! So I went back to the store and they had no issues exchanging for another one.

I noticed that all the sales person in the store wearing bangles without ANY charms on it. So maybe they have noticed that charms are an issue.

So far I have just put 3 charms on my bangle that don't have the screw through the thread (like open charms or dangles) and so far so good in no scratches.

As promised another pic with my new added charms purchased from Bicester. Although recently discovered I could have purchased them a bit cheaper from U/M. Oh well...

Want to save for the gold seahorse next:smile1:

wow.... your teal murano is soooo pretty. Is it true to the color on the computer monitor or different in person? I have a teal murano but in person mine looks more greenish, but I totally love the blue shade of your murano :smile1:

Oohh lovely, planning an oxy bracelet:smile1:
Maybe wait till it arrives and try the charm on before deciding.

I went and tried in in Pandora today with the green meranos and even though im not loving the charm it does make for a very nice combination. Not sure about the hedgehog anymore, it's features defined enough.

My freebie black triple from the promotion with two of the new arrival charms. Love this:love:

And lastly my daughters bracelet which I promised pics of. I bought her the bracelet for her 16th birthday with a couple of charms & it is now finally full. She's 19 now so has taken 3 years which I believe it the way it should be done. Unlike my impatient self who has only been collecting for a month:graucho:

Gosh, you have been busy !
I still love the fish and the pearl but where would i put them :D

I imagine the friction of the charms sliding up and down the bangle would make the bangle dull and scratched. That's the thing with anything with a smooth surface. It will scratch and become dull as soon as something is out on it. Lucky for you the charms you have, have smooth edges, unlike the screw ons.

My leather lariat has arrived!!! X
Loving it more and more...

And as for the bangle saga... Staff only allowed charms on bangles if they actually own them. A lot of staff wear stock jewellery and it is known by pandora about the scratches - hence staff having to wear them without charms x

I am sorry to say that I think you will not be able to exchange it unless you have not had it that long (within a month). They will say that the bangle is due to wear and tear. I think generally that the customer service is bad. However it's worth a shot.:smile1:

So does that mean that when the staff finish wearing their bracelets etc, they go back on sale as new?:smile1:

It's the bouquet charm that I didn't recognise, must be the angle.

Yay, another oxy joins the gang. Gold spacers...sounds lovely, which ones did you get?
Pics please:p

Oh no, just got a bangle few days ago:sad:
Is this a universal issue?? Anyone had the bangle for long enough to experience this?

Yes, a lot say their bangles got scratched. :( my nearest shop recommend wearing them plain, with no charms because of it. I've seen pandora recommend that they can be filled totally and then again saying only part.. So it's anyone's guess, as usual with pandora!

Here are my four charms so far. I like how they slide around the bracelet!

The birdcage represents my daughter's birth. She was a late term preemie and I had to feed her with a dropper so we called her our little bird.
My daughter picked out the cat to give me. She loves cats, and my husband and I decided to elope while having dinner at a Chinese restaurant 9 years ago.
The die because we honeymooned in Las Vegas
My friend gave me the blue Murano

I love your bracelet! Are you planning to fill it up? It looks really good as is. And the green looks really good on the black leather.

Your daughter has been really patient. I hope I can exercise the same self control and collect over a long period but I have made a bad start of it ;)

:D Its been keeping me awake wondering what to do about one of my charms as it is a bit blingy for me but will work really well with the murenos. I like your leaves one but not good with dangly charms.

My plan is

Oxidised bracelet
Fairy Pixie
Green Mureno
Birds and Branches
Green Mureno
Hedgehog

Not sure about clips though.

Its the birds one that is bothering me. It looks pretty but...........i need an alternative for the center.

I am the same as you with Pandora, it was the least liked on my list along with Tiffany and Cartier jewellery and Chanel bags im hoping my dislikes dont change anymore ! Bags have been my thing and my last *maybe* was going to be an Anya Hindmarch Maxi Zip but i thought * no i cant be bothered to pay that sort of money anymore*..........nearly two bracelets later .............:thinkin: :smile1:

Edit....

Hope your not to poorly, you picked a good week to be ill though ;-)

Sounds like you have a good plan :smile1: and going into a store always helps. I didn't buy the charms I thought I would get from the autumn collection as in person they just didn't look "right". Birds and branches too (for me) even though it's stunningly beautiful.

Luckily I only have one obsession at the moment. I don't think I could handle another..:This one is nearly driving me insane!

Thanks for your well wishes :ty:
